STEP-MOTHER ALERT

Liam's excited scream resonated through the entire house as he rushed towards Amari who had just come into the house with his big sister, Claire. Claire shook her head, smiling as she took off her jacket, stepping aside, while Amari squatted so she was one the same level as Liam, in height. Amari's arms were spread wide open as she welcomed the excited boy into her embrace.

Amari dug her hand into her jacket's pocket and revealed a candy she had saved for Liam. She gave it to him and he accepted it with a smile, while she moved to ruffle his hair.

"You are such a dog Liam. A dog that likes to be patted a lot," Claire teased her brother as she moved to sit on a sofa in the sitting room.

"Don't call him that Claire," Mr Richard scolded as he made his way down the stairs and Claire stuck his tongue at him playful. He moved to half embrace her on the sofa. Even leaning to peck on her cheek.

"How was school today honey?" he asked her as he moved to sit on a sofa across her.
