Nathan was not in his bedroom when Amari stepped in but seeing the open door that led to the balcony from his bedroom, she immediately knew that he was out there.
"Hey babe," Amari muttered as she joined him out in the balcony.
He turned to look at her with a smile, and then embraced her.
"Why are you out here by yourself?" she asked him after they broke the embrace and a soft sigh escaped his lips as he turned away from her to lean onto the railings, staring out the road ahead.
"My dad is already processing everything. My mom says there is nothing she can do to convince him," Nathan said.
"I might be able to help with that," Amari said and Nathan turned to look at her, a spark of hope playing in his eyes.
"Really?" he asked and she nodded.
