The Daily Life...

Days pass by as Rowena patiently awaits for news of her fathers return. As the days pass by Rowena and Cersie start a daily routine. In the mornings they would wake up and get dressed before meeting each other in ´the hallway and heading out onto the cobbled streets.

Cheerful voices and bird's tweeting filled the air as they wandered down the cobble, heading towards the sweet and fresh smell of cakes and baking bread. They greeted the people as they walked past them and at first they would hesitatingly respond back with a timid smile or quiet response but as the days went by and their routine never changed the people grew more comfortable and started cheerfully greeting the both of them first with a wide smile on their face.

It wasn't the same with the bakers though. The first time they walked into the wonderful smelling bakery, that seemed to be a quite warm and homey place to be, they were greeted with a warm welcome. "Why hello there ladies!" The round and cheerful baker cheered." His cheeks flushed red from the heat of an oven. "Hey Roberto!" Rowena smiled. "Glad to see your acting like yourself!"

"But of course m'lady!" Roberto chuckled. "Its a pleasure to meet your lovely friend as well Tell me What's your name dear? And do tell me which cake is your favourite! It's on the house today!" Cersie blushed and curtsied. "Thank you sir. I- I enjoy anything with strawberries! Your kindness won't be forgotten!"

"BHOHOHOHO!" Roberto laughed boisterously. "Please just call me, Roberto! And no need to be so polite!" Cersie blush turned an even deeper red as she nodded her head hiding her face behind her long wavy red hair. Rowena sensing Cersie's embarrassment held in her laughter at the exchanged and asked, "Do you mind if we have two strawberry tarts, some of your fresh bread and some butter?"

Roberto turned back to the counter and shuffled around for a bit before pulling ot two pristine strawberry tarts that seemed to glow. Cersie's eyes widened at the strawberries and her moth dropped open. Rowena laughed and said, "Your drooling." Cersie's head snapped around as quick as a pin drop and exclaimed, "I AM NOT! I have pride! I would never drool!" Rowena playfully shoved Cersie and said, "Oh come on its not a big deal! It happens to the best of us!"

Cersie huffed and crossed her arms. The baker laughed at this scene and handed the baked goods over to Rowena in a paper bag. "Here ya go m'lady! I added a little extra in there for your friend!" He whispered and winked at Rowena.

The two girls waved as they left the warm bakery and Rowena looked into the paper bag to see a jar of handmade strawberry jam. Rowena smiled as they walked on top of the cobbled street and pulled it out of the bag to show Cersie. "Look at this! It seems that Roberto really appreciates you!" Cersie looked at the jar confused and asked, "What's that?" Rowena gave her a strange look. "Don't you know what jam is?" Cersie thought for a second before responding, "Oh! Jam! I wasn't sure... How can the baker afford to buy jam?" Rowena laughed. "He didn't buy it silly he made it! He grows strawberries in his Glass House!"

"He grows strawberries? And in a glass house? Is he extremely rich?!" Cersie gasped. Rowena laughed and said, "No, here its common for businesses that require to grow plants fruit or veg, they are provided with Glass Houses by the Lord that rules over the piece of land! It's to make sure everyone is provided with good a healthy food which you can't usually grow in these areas! We're quite lucky even though were small compared to a city we do quite well for ourselves!"

Wow that's incredible!" Cersie responded in awe of how well off this town was. "Well it doesn't matter too much! Anyway you wanna head back to the training grounds?!"Rowena smiled. "Sure lets get as much practise in as possible!" Cersie smiled. They both followed along the cobble street and headed back to the manor where they would spend hours training, gradually getting even closer.

As days passed by without hearing a peep about her father, Rowena started to get nervous. Why hadn't she heard from her father yet? Where was he? So many thoughts of different scenarios passed through her mind as she silently started to stress.
