Chapter 27

Lucy came to the bar area and didn't see Jeane sitting before the bartender, she narrowed her eyes.

She sat on the stool and leaned forward on the counter "Hey, did you know the young beauty that was drinking here earlier?" she asked the bartender, he thought deeply.

He had served drinks to different people, "I mean the one that requested for drinks, while I was here" Lucy reminded him, the bartender realized.

"she left with a young dude, I think they are lovers, that quarrelled earlier here, they went towards the exit door" he answered, Lucy, turned towards the exit door.

"Thanks," she said and walked towards the door, she came to the entrance and couldn't find the two bouncers standing there earlier, she came out of the street and observed.

She looked towards the opposite side of the street, and saw an eatery, she decided to check if she could be there, she crossed the tarred road and got into the eatery, she looked around the tables.

"Miss, who are you looking for?" a security man asked, Lucy, turned to him "a friend" she replied and smiled.

The security kept his eyes on her expecting her to say more, Lucy smiled nervously and walked out of the eatery, and went over to the club.

"and now, the moment we are all waiting for..." a voice came from the stage.

Jack hurried over to Lucy, he caught sight of her coming in when he was busy dancing among girls.

"what's up, babe?" he asked, Lucy pursed her lips tightly "where is Sam?" she asked, Jack went into the crowd and emerged with him.

Lucy faced the two of them "I can't find, Jeane" she informed the both of them, Jack and Sam became surprised.

Jeane and Joseph came back to the table, Arial was waiting uncomfortably "I will be back" she stood and left, Joseph tilted his head towards Jeane, she shrugged.

Linda came out and saw Arial approaching her, she was coming towards the direction of where she was coming from.

"Hello, Arial" she called her name and stretched forth her hand, Arial was surprised, she took her hand.

"Sorry, I should know you, right?" she asked, smiling, Linda nodded "the successful women convergence last year, the owner of New York Classic Boutique" Linda reminded her.

Arial became surprised "Oh, my, I was looking forward to meeting you," she said.

Joseph watched the both of them with a gloomy face, Jeane chuckled "stop looking like them that way, I don't think Linda is going to give in, she is always pestering you, look" Jeane pointed towards the dude looking at Linda and Arial.

"I think that dude there is her new lover," Jeane said, Joseph nodded thoughtfully, he remembered he saw the both of them coming in before he excused himself "what am I going to do with him?" he asked with a confused look.

Jeane smacked her forehead wondering if her uncle ever think.
