CHAPTER 26 Revealing the Truth

　　ANNA'S POV

　　"Hey, Britt." I greeted.

　　Britt was on the couch watching a movie and eating popcorn.

　　"What movie are you watching?" I asked her.

　　She turned to look at me and smiled. "It's a horror movie called 'Hereditary'. It's really creepy, but I can't look away." she said.

　　I laughed. "You're a brave soul to be watching a horror movie by yourself!" I said.

　　She shrugged. "I like a good scare every now and then. Besides, I'm not alone. You're here with me!" she said with a grin.

　　The tension in the movie was building up, and we were both on the edge of our seats. Just as the movie was reaching its climax, there was a loud bang on the front door. We both jumped and looked at each other in surprise.

　　"What was that?" I whispered.

　　Britt's eyes were wide and she was clutching the blanket around her. "I don't know. I hope it's not a burglar." she whispered back.

　　We both sat in silence, listening intently for any other sounds.
