Ch-17
"I think you should go inside and check around" a voice startled her. She turned around and saw a man with the most beautiful pair of black eyes peppered with gold, staring intently with a curve in his lips. There was a spark in his eyes that she couldn't look away from, his lips had the softest and prettiest shade of pink she had ever seen. She was drowned in him. There was complete silence for minutes, which was broken by that person.
"Hi !!! This is Rahul,'' he introduced himself.
"This is not a drama, right? Then why do I feel as if his name is music to my ears when I don't even know him ?!" Laya asked herself in her mind. His deep voice brought her back to reality and she squeaked out a "Hi !" While in response she saw amusement swirl in Rahul's eyes as his lips curled in a smirk. Laya flushed at his reaction. It was the first time that she had felt so disoriented in front of a man and on second thought, she had no regrets. "Why ?" she asked herself. But soon her thoughts got overpowered by a question, "Who is he ?"
She asked him that question that was confusing her mind, "Who are you ?" He just smiled and said, "We can get to know each other later, but I think we should move inside the room unless you want to give these nosy people the hot gossip of the hotel." And that's when Laya noticed the huge staff surrounding and gawking at them with their steel gaze which was inquisitive or jealous? Well, she couldn't understand.
"Umm ... okay! But why are they looking at me as if I just stole their jewelry?" she asked with a confused face and he just stared at her. "What? I asked you something. Didn't I? Don't say me I didn't !" she asked again. She still didn't get an answer, but she saw some lady in her late 50s coming towards her with … a broom in hand and she started shouting, "Stay away from him, he is about to get married !" She then turned towards Rayan and addressed him as her son "What are you doing here? Your fiance's family-" she continued dragging him away by his ear.
"Well it is weird ..." she mumbled to herself.
With that, Laya charged out of the room as she rolled her sleeves up and walked towards the window to look at the beautiful sunny weather. Yellow-orange dazzling rays were glowing on her skin as she slowly walked to the edge of the shore, enjoying the serene sea while forgetting her disagreement over this marriage. The gentle breeze made her hair dance and slowly she sat down on the sand. The waves gently kept hitting her legs.
"Seems like someone is busy,'' she heard a deep magnetic voice and turned around to see. She saw the same person whom she met at the reception before she went to her room.
"What are you doing here? Wait, are you stalking me? Like seriously?!" She asked him two questions at a time.
"Slow down miss, you know I am not bound to answer all your questions", he said and leaned towards her. Her eyes were widened to see a 'wedding ring' on his hand. It looked quite familiar, but Laya couldn't remember it. "You are married and still flirting with me ?" asked Laya. He smiled and shook his head, "Don't flatter yourself. Who is flirting with you? I just came here to enjoy the view" he said and sat down next to her.
She doesn't remember how they started talking, but she just remembers that they had a wonderful chat. Both of them just talked and talked and didn't notice how the time passed so quickly and it was already afternoon. Both of them exchanged a smile. Just then Laya realized about both of their respective lives and felt this might be wrong. Bidding him bye, she was just about to leave when he suddenly held her by her wrist. She was stunned by his actions.
But before she could say something else, he leaned closer to her face and called "My soon-to-be little chilly wife." Laya was stunned.
