Caught while peeking at him.

Ch-53

Rahul changed himself into a white T-shirt and black jeans too. He took his wallet and went out. He already asked his assistant to arrange a car for them. But he doesn't want to take her in a car. The store was within walkable distance only. If he takes a car, he might miss some valuable time with his wife. With a big coat, he covered himself well and stepped out as he started waiting for Laya.

Now Laya has no problems in finding her clothes as she already sorted out everything. She wore a white T-shirt and black jeans. When she came out and saw Rahul was also wearing the same White T-shirt which looked similar to her T-shirt.

Flashback…

That day morning….

In the shopping mall….

"Miss, add that pair too," Rahul said to the saleswoman.

"Sir, that's a couple pair." the saleswoman said.

"I know. Just pack it," he said. The woman nodded and did as he said.

Flashback ends…

—------

Rahul didn't know that Laya would wear this too. He was beyond shocked at her choice.

Poor Laya was confused at the resemblance of the clothes. She blinked thrice before shaking her head and walking forward.

"Shall we go?" he asked. She nodded.

"Wait, why don't you put on a coat?" he asked.

"I don't have them," she replied as she pursued her lips.

He took off his coat and draped it around her shoulders, taking her by surprise.

[Why is he so gentle? Is this all an act?] she couldn't help but think. Her big brown almond-shaped eyes peered at him. She searched for a lie in his eyes, but his eyes were filled with genuine love and care for her.

Was she imagining things?

No… no… he is a bad guy. He wants to leave her. This was all an act to have sex with her.

But somewhere in her heart, she knew that he was genuine.

Poor Laya doesn't know that she was believing a lie that she heard rather than believing the truth she was seeing.

Rahul saw the mixture of questions in her eyes. He knew she was confused at her behavior. All he needed was some time. He truly hoped she would give that to him.

"We shall go," he said to her for which she nodded.

Laya felt like she was a kid in his clothes. She has to say her husband has a really good shape and body. His broad chest, wide shoulders, strong biceps and his sharp features made him look like a Greek god.

She didn't notice that she was looking at his side profile. She was mesmerized by his beauty. Who said only women are beautiful even men are. And her husband was one of them. She felt proud of having such a handsome husband.

[Stupid! He is going to divorce you!] Her brain chided her.

As if someone poured a bucket of cold water on her, she shook her head and looked ahead. But again… a last single peek wouldn't hurt, right? With that she turned her head and looked at him.

Laya was shocked to see Rahul looking at her with a handsome smirk on his face.

"Like what you see?" He asked. And her heart skipped a beat. She turned her head and looked in another direction.

As he walked he could feel a burning gaze on him. He knew his wife was looking at him. A small smile danced on his lips at that thought. Maybe this could be a great opening to them again. His hopes were rising high with every second passed. But suddenly he saw her walking ahead as she shook her head. He increased his pace and matched with her. But again, he saw her stealing glances at him. A playful smile formed on his lips.

He wondered how she would react if he caught her staring at him. Rahul turned his head and looked at her. Just then she looked at him. Her big almond shaped eyes widened in shock, her pink lips slightly parted.

"Like what you see?" He asked with a playful smirk, which made her turn her gaze shyly away from him.

He saw her neck was covered with a blush. Aww… how he wished to kiss those sinful lips and make her struggle for oxygen in his arms. But he has to hold it. He groaned lightly before walking ahead.

Laya could feel her heart thudding against her ribcage. She tried to calm her poor heart but she couldn't. Suddenly she wanted to scold Rahul for doing this to her. But she couldn't.

She saw him walking at a slow pace that matched hers. Rubbing her hands she moved a little farther from him feeling that it was the only best move for her to keep her poor heart in check. She supposed to hate him not to build feelings for him.

As she moved, she didn't notice a bike coming faster in her way. Rahul felt something was amiss when he realized she was moving away from him. Turning his head, he saw an overspending bike on her way. And she wasn't noticing it. She was involved in her own world. With a big step he pulled her into his embrace and twirled her twice taking two steps deeper to the pedestrian walk. The bike left leaving a strong gust of wind while rising dust in the air.

His eyes rimmed red as he stared at her. Laya felt a shiver running through her spine when she saw his anger. She gulped hard.
