9: Evil Ellaine
Elandra just doesn't know what to do. She keeps on staring at her family's photo together during their mom's birthday. She can see how much happy they are and it was well written to their faces. She just doesn't know what to feel like they just ignored her that way.
"Miss Elandra." she can hear one of the maids knocking at her door.
She softly wipes the tears coming out from her eyes and clears her throat.
"Yes, what is it?" she asked.
"Your dinner is prepared. Are we going to put inside your room?" the maid asked her.
She just sighed and took a deep breath.
"No need, I am coming down." she mumbled.
Everyone might think that she is such a bitch and an evil woman but they don't know everything about her. She just made them think that she is strong enough but emotionally, she is very pained and needed some comfort. She lacks a love from her family and that is why she is being like that.
"Have you eaten also?" she asked the maids.
They shook their heads. The maids have their own kitchen and dining area for they have such a wide mansion and she is the only one there needed to be taken care of. She nodded at them.
"Then, eat with me." she said.
The maids are all shocked because there are many foods on top of the table. She asked them to cook many because today is their mother's birthday.
"Come on, sit down and eat with me. I don't want to waste the food. Just think that my mom is with us because today is her birthday and I know you all know that." she mumbled.
There's still a kindness inside her and the maids just sit down and start to eat with her. She doesn't know what to feel. This is her first time eating and sharing the foods with their maids. She can still see the shocked faces from the maids and she can see that they are still feeling awkward and weird about it. She just smirked and eat in silence.
"I know that you are thinking that I became nice right now but I am not really a bad person. It depends on the situation and on the people. If they are trying to mess with me and I will just give what they want and that is all." she spoke.
No maids wanted to speak because they are so scared of her. But she understands how much scared they are to her. She just smiled because she felt the feeling of being complete and happy again. They have ten maids all in all and she feels so happy to think that they are part of her family.
"I am sorry, miss, if we are so shy to speak because we don't feel nice about this things happening. It is just so sudden and it feels so awkward for us to think that we are eating in front of your boss." one of them said.
She just chuckles making them to feel shocked about it but they all just smiled.
"Come on, today is our mother's birthday and I want to share the foods with you. We didn't have time to share each other's food in holidays because you all went home to your families. Just bear it with me right now." she said.
They just nodded at her and agreed. She knows it is right to treat your maids fair and enough for them not to feel tired to work with you. Because if you keep on treating them bad, it will make them to think that they do not want to work with you anymore and in the end, you are going to end up all alone. That is what Elandra feels nervous and scared about it. She doesn't want to be left alone again because her family already abandoned her alone.
"Happy birthday, mom." Elaine kissed their mom's cheeks and that made their mom to be happy.
Right now, their mom is thinking about their daughter. She was even waiting for her to message and greet her about her birthday but she didn't got to receive any. She doesn't know, Elaine was the one holding her phone a while back and she was the one who read Elandra's greeting for her. She just reacted with a like reaction and deleted her message. It turns out, she is the real devil in between them because Elandra cannot think to do that.
"Thank you, dear. I am afraid that Elandra is left alone there and I know she has been worried and sad because we are still here." Their mom said.
Elaine just sighs.
"Mom, today is your birthday. You should not be worried about her. We all know that she was doing good even she was alone. As much as we want to go home, we still couldn't. Because I am still finishing my degree here." she said.
She just wants their parents to be alone with her and she doesn't want them to go home because she keeps on saying to herself that Elandra is going to take them back from her and that is what she doesn't want to happen.
"Fine, Fine. Just a little bit more. But if you have some time. You need to go home and have a little peek with your little sister. See if she was really doing fine." she said to her.
Elaine still feels so jealous because their mother keeps on worrying and asking about her little sister for she thought that she forgot about her but she was wrong.
"Mom, I will do that and I will find some time for me to check up on her. I promise." she even promised to their mother about it.
She just wants to get their mom's loyalty from her again and she is going to feel relieved about it. Right now, she was planning to come home to see her little sister.
