HER SON

{NOTE! ~THIS IS A STANDALONE SEQUEL OF 'HER BLOOD'} In a world where immortality reigns, life knows no end. However, immortals are divided into two categories: the strong and the weak. The weak can be easily killed, often possessing vulnerabilities that make them susceptible to the superior immortals. * Tragedy strikes when my father, a weak immortal with a fated weakness, is killed by a man I once revered. This man, who cannot be vanquished, has also passed down his trait to me through my mother. I hold both my mother and this man accountable for my father's demise and all the ensuing events. Even though my mother sent the man into hiding to atone for the pain caused, I am certain that he will return. Only this time, it will be different. He will come back to complete what he started, to seek vengeance and forcefully take back what belonged to him. ***

39. WEEK 6

"I dropped it somewhere."

"Dropped what?" Vivian asked with a frown as she watched Keturah search the entire bedroom for only God knows what.

"I kept it here…right?" Keturah absentmindedly asked herself as she searched the wardrobe in frustration.

"Tell me what it is, maybe I can help you." Vivian suggested as she stood up from the bed and came to stand beside Keturah.

Sighing in frustration, Keturah faced her caretaker with a sober look as if she would cry any moment if she didn't find it.

"My phone." She finally revealed and Vivian gave her a look like she had gone mad.

"Are you sure you're alright, Keturah?"

Keturah frowned at Vivian's question and took offense.

"How can you say such a thing to me Vivian?"

"Because you're acting strange Keturah, one moment you were on the bed playing with your phone and then all of a sudden you stood up and began looking for the same phone that's obviously in your hand."
