When she opened her eyes, they were a bit unsteady at first before they became stable.
She slowly sat upright and turned her face sideways to see if her mate was still sleeping.
A smile graced her lips when she found him sleeping peacefully.
However, the smile fell when she felt a strange pain at the right side of her neck. It burned and she nearly hissed but refrained from doing so.
As she touched the spot, she felt more pain.
The sun was already fully out, meaning, morning was here and it was a new day.
She carefully got out of bed and went to her restroom to see what was wrong.
On getting in, she gently shut the door behind her before coming to stand in front of the large oval mirror fixed to the wall.
With care, she packed her hair up in a messy bun before checking the right side of her neck.
