Kiss

James: Hey hi Anna.

Anna: Hi.

James: How are you feeling?

Anna: Better.

(James can sense that Anna knows that he knew about her disease.)

James: I know what are you thinking.

Anna: Did you tell anyone?

James: No, but why you don't want to tell anyone? Especially Mark!

( Anna became silent for some time before speaking.)

Anna: Seven years ago, you also know I committed a sin in which Mark and Jules lost their parents, their dignity, their respect, and all things because of me. And I regretted the most. I love him and now I want redemption.

I don't want to Mark to forgive me for my sins easily because of my condition. I want him to forgive me wholeheartedly, that's why I'm waiting for that day when Mark forgives me with his wholeheartedly, then I will myself tell him about my condition.

James: What if Mark takes time to forgive you?

Anna: I can wait.

James: You have less time Anna. You can't risk your life. Please, at least take some medication.

Anna: I don't want to take it because this is my punishment given by God.

James: You know what Anna when the first time I saw you, I find my little sister in you. I feel God giving me my sister in you. So as a brother, don't do this to yourself.

(James didn't know when his cheeks get wet. For the first time, Anna sees someone calling her sister, her cheeks also get wet.)

Anna: As a sister I want you to promise me, that you don't tell anyone about this. Please.

James: Please Anna, don't do this.

Anna: I know Mark will forgive me soon. I will try. I promise.

James: Okay, but I have a condition. You have to take medicines.

Anna: Okay. I will take it. But without taking his forgiveness, I don't die because I want to die in peace.

Anna: Thank you James for understanding.

(Anna was so worried but James assured her. James went. The door opened slowly, Mark enters and the pair of green eyes met her. She feels her world get frozen. She can sense warmth in his eyes, care, and concern are openly shown. He takes slow steps toward her, she didn't break her eye contact with him, and neither did he. He sits near her and tugs a hair strand behind her ear. He slowly caresses her wound.)

Mark: Does it heart?

( He asked in a whisper. She shook her head negatively.)

Mark: How did you fall from the stairs?

( Anna remembered how she fall from the stairs. She didn't want to tell him that she became scared after seeing that room.)

Anna: I...I..slipped.

(Mark knows she was telling him a lie. But he didn't ask further. Again silence filled in the air. He is looking at her like his world is situated in her. He caresses her face. Anna couldn't tell what happened to him.

Then suddenly he kisses her on her forehead. Then move to her lips and give her a gentle kiss on her lips. She became shocked. She can't figure out what did just happens. He never kisses her. And this is the first time he kissed her like this. She feels a sense of warmth, care, secureness, and love. Tears form in her eyes. Mark breaks the kiss and looks at her with concern in her eyes. Mark himself didn't know what happened to him, but for now, he want to show all his love to her. He wipes her tears gently and caresses her head. )
