Husband?

A long and slender hand reached out and immediately pulled her into his warm embrace.

Qin Mei had not even had the chance to react before everything happened. The back of her head hit the hardened chest of the man who had saved her.

Qin Mei came back to her senses and drew herself out of his embrace. She lowered her head and straightened her clothes which were now a bit messed up before lifting her small head to take a glance at her savior.

"You...", Qin Mei's words of thanks stopped when she caught sight of the handsome gentleman sstanding tall before her.

She thought Huo Zilan was handsome enough but this man... his beauty was topnotch!

Shi Ciyuan had also not expected that the girl he had unintentionally saved was such a renowned beauty. Her pair of phoenix like blue eyes staring at him were like that of the clear spring in the mountains, enchanting and refreshing a person's heart and soul.

Qin Mei was still in her own world, wondering why this handsome man had suddenly appeared out of the blue and saved her. Could it be that this was her powerful and mysterious husband?

She sized him up, his suit, shoes and watch were screaming how wealthy and noble he was. He seemed like a real gentleman, kind, calm and gentle.

Shi Ciyuan saw her scrutinizing gaze and chuckled, he thought she would be scared after the incident but it seemed he was wrong. She was just like the other ladies, only interested in his wealth.

"Mister, are you my husband? I'm Qin Mei, what about you?", Qin Mei smiled, certain that her guess might be correct. Or else why would he also be here at the marriage service bureau? It was not a mere coincidence was it?

Shi Ciyuan almost thought he had heard wrong, husband? Could it be that he had run into a crazy woman? But she seemed perfectly fine.

Or perhaps, this was her way of trying to climb up to him? Fine, he would play along with her!

"Miss, you are right. I'm your husband, Shi Ciyuan", Shi Ciyuan's lips curled up slightly, he stretched out his hand for a handshake. He wanted to see exactly what she was up to.

Qin Mei was too shocked to shake his hand.

"Shi...Shi Ciyuan? That Shi Ciyuan? That Shi family?", Qin Mei gasped and covered her mouth. How did she get involved with this powerful man? Wait... how did they get married.

Yesterday, she had gone to a bar to drink herself out of sorrow after finding out that her engagement had been annulled. She was certain that although she had been drunk, she had not encountered him! Or perhaps had she been too drunk to remember?

"Yes, that Shi family", Shi Ciyuan replied calmly.

"But... yesterday I did not meet you so how did we get married? Were you also drunk? Is that why you agreed to get married? Wait...do you perhaps think I forced you into it? I didn't, I was drunk myself and didn't know about what I was blurting out, I was not in my right senses. I didn't remember until you called me today.", Qin Mei quickly explained herself, not wanting to offend this powerful big shot. No matter what she could not divorce him until she got back her shares! All she could do now was to try and please him for the time being.

Upon listening to the long explanation, Shi Ciyuan realized that something did not sound right. He scanned the girl before him and she did not seem to be joking or perhaps she was really good at acting.

"Yesterday? Drunk? Explain clearly!", Said Shi Ciyuan calmly.

"Well, yesterday I found out that my fiance had suddenly annulled our arranged marriage in order to get together with my elder sister. I was so sad, annoyed and angry that I left the house in a fit of rage and went to the bar. I don't know how many times I drunk but soon my mind became hazy. I don't even remember how I got home. You must have dropped me off right? Thank goodness you were there or else someone might have taken advantage of me!", Qin Mei smiled dryly, she nervously clutched her clothes hoping the man before her would understand her explanation.

Shi Ciyuan realized that he had actually misunderstood her, she was not like those ladies trying to climb up to him. But how was he going to explain himself that he was actually not her husband? Should he say that he had thought she was trying to climb up to him and so he also played along?

"Young Master!", A man dressed similarly to Shi Ciyuan rushed to them panting heavily. He wondered where the young master had disappeared to, who would have thought that...

Yu Feng was a bit taken aback by the stunning beauty standing beside his young master.

"Young Master, who is she?", Yu Feng turned to Shi Ciyuan, his eyes filled with both confusion and surprise.

Yu Feng was astonished by the ravishing beauty. As an assistant, he had to admit that he had met so many ladies and they were all pretty but none was as pretty as the one before him.

"Hello, I'm his wife. You are?", Qin Mei hurriedly introduced herself and stretched out her hand for a handshake which never came.

"What?", Yu Feng was so shocked by the news that he dropped all the files in his hand onto the ground.

Wife? The young master had just arrived from Africa and he was already married? Was it because the lady was so pretty? Fine he understood, even he would not be able to resist such a top notch and rare beauty.

"Miss Qin Mei, sorry to have made you misunderstood. I am not your husband, I was just joking earlier on and did not expect you to take it serious. If you would excuse me, I have an important meeting to attend", Shi Ciyuan turned around and calmly walked towards the black SUV parked onto the other side of the road.

Yu Feng took a look at the shocked expression on Qin Mei's face, bent over and picked up the fallen files then run towards the car bursting into laughter.

Qin Mei understood the meaning behind Shi Ciyuan's words and clenched her fists. This guy had watched her make a fool of herself! It must have been fun to watch! She would definitely teach him a lesson the next time they met.

Judging from the way the other man addressed him, she was somewhat certain he was Shi Ciyuan.

'Hmph! You had better pray we do not meet again in the future!'

Qin Mei angrily hailed a cab back to the Qin mansion.

So what if she did not know the identity of her husband yet? The most important thing to do now was to take advantage of the marriage and take back her shares!
