November. November

After the wedding, things went back to normal.Relatives who came to celebrate returned to their homes,Mosinmiloluwa traveled to his base and I went back to school leaving Dad and Mum alone at home.School went on as usual,I was in year 2 and I've moved to the department building where we now have classes unlike the first year were everywhere was stuffy and we struggled to hear lectures and find a comfortable seat. The lecture halls are more convienent because we were little above a hundred and it was spacious enough to accommodate us convienently,we even had Fans in the lecture halls and that was when I truly began to enjoy school. We were done with midtest when the Covid'19 pandemic was first discovered and we were told to go home.I decided to go see my Sister since we haven't seen since she got married,I was thinking I'll be there for a couple of weeks until they tell us to resume,I didn't know it was going to be a long break at home.Everyone was on lockdown at home and movement was restricted,I was with my Sister who was a few months pregnant when I initially got to her place.I was there for months and I was really helpful because a pregnant woman needs all the love, care and support she can get.I made sure she was well fed regardless of her sort of weird craving and loss of appetite.I was there until she gave birth to her son,it was a happy day because all I was thinking about was Mum will finally get to see her first grandchild.

We didn't know Mum was sick until the lockdown period, she said she had been battling with stomach issues since the wedding and she kept it away from us because she didn't want us to get worried. She said the test that was carried out shows she has Ulcer and she has been treating it since then even though the pain never stopped. She has been enduring the pain for several months before she spoke up and told us about it,I couldn't go home if I wanted to because of the restriction and my sister needed me as well. She traveled down after my Sister put to bed to come take care of her grandson and even though she was in pain, she endured and never showed it.She'll go to bed and be rolling at night when the pain comes with full force. The naming ceremony was a success, people came to celebrate with us and it was this period I met Samuel,I was too busy to chat but he was always dropping messages and I reply later when I get the chance to,he never gave up and he kept chatting and checking up on me.

Babies sleep all day and stay wide awake all through the night,so we took turn to take care of the baby at night to give Kehinde enough room to rest well.

I left when the baby was a month old and I felt my Sister was strong enough rest to carry out her responsibility with little or no help from Mum and her husband happen to be a loving, caring and supportive husband.

I came home and I was taking time to rest because that was the most stressful months in my entire life,I was always trying to put things in place and not stress my Sister or Mum.Few weeks later,Mummy had to come home because the pain became more intensified and that was the beginning of the tragedy. We kept moving from one hospital to another,Mum was getting skinny everyday because she was always pooing blood,we kept spending Mum's money of course.Dad was only there physically,he contributed nothing and sometimes never returned the extra change when he buys drugs.I was the one cooking, washing clothes, doing chores and attending to my sick Mum that meant the whole world to me.

No one knew,I only told Samuel who I met after I got back home from my Sister's place,he was the only one that knew and he was really helpful, understanding and supportive. The first date we had,I got there really late and I was thinking he'll be upset but he understood I had to make sure there was enough food for Mum and that I put everything in place for Mum before I could leave home

.I will come online to drop happy videos, cheer people up with my writeups and stories, little did they know I was battling with something serious privately. That's the reality of life, nobody is really okay,we just keep moving on everyday.

Mosinmiloluwa and Kehinde kept sending money to take care of Mum,do the necessary tests and buy drugs but things was getting worse each passing day.Mum became a shadow of her former self,my Mum became so helpless that she was always being helped around and she was always lying down.Luckily, the lockdown was over but I couldn't resume because University staff were on strike so I had time to be with my Mum and not be bothered with school,I can't imagine what would have happened if we were asked to return to school.Mum will tell me to go but I won't be able to concentrate knowing fully well that she's weak and nobody can care for her the way I will. This went on and on until Mum was diagnosed of Cancer, we've been treating Ulcer all this while not knowing it was Cancer all along and it has gotten to the critical stage. We've spent so much money treating the wrong illness instead of focusing on the real illness, the things I see in movies was actually happening to me.
