They are just myths'. Her friend Hailey said with an air of confidence and knowledge as she chew on her burger. Myths?. If there are just myths and don't exist, then does that mean that she was just hallucinating things when she saw those pair of blood-red eyes looking at her. After a while, her friend asked her, 'Why do you ask? Have you seen anyone?'. Yes, once in her nightmares, twice in her school. 'Anyways, next time you see Emma and his friends, run in the opposite direction'. Diva nodded and rose her head, only to be met with someone's threatening gaze. 'Come outside'. She read the words off his lips. ___ The events around her mother's death still played fresh in her memory and helped to remind her of her revenge-- to give her mother's killers a slow and painful death. The classes soon resumed and as expected the dining hall was once again empty, the hallways had no life as all students sat in their classes, filling their heads with the voices of the teachers.

Diva and Hailey sat together almost entering into each other - more of Hailey than Diva. Their friendship had grown over the past two hours as Hailey seemed more of a talkative as she had vowed to engross Diva in every topic she brought up.

Though she didn't want to get distracted by letting things or people swoop her concentration, she had to agree to discussions. They were kind of the ones keeping her eyelids opened like some of her classmates- the ones behind her, had rested their heads on their desks and others who had eye problems- some of those glasses looked fake and she had noted that the majority of them had it on their face. Were they all asleep?.

The teacher who was currently teaching walked to one of the students, and Diva out of sheer curiosity had her eyes following the female curvy woman on heels that clinked against the tiles, and even in trying to be quiet, the sound of the heels persisted. She came to stand in front of a girl who sat on the second row, the first seat to the left, adjacent to Diva.

' That girl is sure to be asleep '. Hailey's lips were almost on her ear as she had leaned in unaware to whisper.

Diva didn't need a prophetess to tell her so as she could sense the empty mind of the girl. She was asleep so she needed not to think.

A slamming sound did not only jerk the girl out of her chair but also her accomplices behind and a few in front of Diva. A stifled laugh escaped Hailey's lips and Diva had to bite her lips to suppress the laughter that was threatening to come out.

' Ma'am, did you have to be so loud? I heard you clearly '.

' Really, Jane? Because I had to repeat myself up to five times and even on the sixth attempt, I was still not able to get a response. So, Miss Jane Thompson, tell me, are you now cutting me cold? '. Even with the smile that rose on her left cheek, Diva could see the wickedness that lay beneath. She could place a million bets on this one, that the beautiful teacher was the most wicked one of all. She begged to be wrong.

' Forget that smile on her face, Jane is so deep in hot pepper soup '. Hailey had begun to whisper. ' If she says no, then she was sleeping and that will earn her a big blast of embarrassment and a day in detention, you don't sleep on a teacher. If she says yes- oh my, that's embarrassment doubled detention spiced with an invitation of the parents. I had to bring clothes' pegs to clip my eyelids...just kidding '

Diva almost puke at the clipping part, but Hailey was fast enough to save her face. Clips on one's eyelids were a brutal hostility to one's self. The red part shows against the white part. She shrugged.

' No...no, ma. I ..... was. I was just... '. The smile on the teacher's face widened. Diva could already imagine the girl being embarrassed, sleeping away in detention, and being face to face with the principal with her parents by her side.

' You haven't told me anything yet, Miss Thompson '. So this woman was hellbent on punishing her. Was this not wickedness? How did they expect all students to be awake after filling their stomachs in the cafeteria and also making it compulsory that the fans be on? Well, not that the fan was not necessary- it was. But was it a contribution to the lighter heads?. God, what was she saying?.

' I was asleep ma'am '. The girl finally confessed with a bent head.

Diva watched as the teacher laughed aloud, letting her voice echo in the classroom. ' Wow, that was a quick confession, I must say. We will meet at detention then '. She sang happily and went back to the board to continue her teaching.

Well, that was embarrassing enough. And what was that about meeting in the detention room, does that mean that the teacher was the detention woman?. She scoffed.

She had just turned to face the board again when a tiny paper ball hit her. Annoyed, she turned to see the idiot that did that and her eyes caught sight of Emma, that buzz haircut boy, staring at her with an empty pen case in his right hand and his left arm laying lazy on the edge of the chair. She sighed and picked up the paper from the desk.

' You are next '. It read in bold letters.

Hey, dearly beloved!. Keep reading.

Much love.
