The school

' Coming Monday, you will be starting at a modern school where you will have to mix with other people, probably of your age or less. Learn to mingle, make friends and live a normal teenage girl life '. Her father had told her over dinner that day and the weekend had her testing uniforms and bag straps.

Back home, she had attended lessons from her private tutors on various subjects of her interest. Never had she stepped out of the palace, never have she attended school. If there was a need to mingle, Dukes and Duchesses, Lords and Ladies, Kings and Queens brought their children to her home where teachers presided over the teachings instead of tutors.

Her uniform lay on the bed. Red flannel patterned jacket, a white shirt with collar, a thin rope of black clothing, a grey-black pleated straight skirt, and above-the-knee black stockings.

With a towel wrapped around her chest and hair, she moved to her dressing table to get dressed.

A few minutes later, she sat on the chair, dressed. Her hair was tied into a ponytail with two strands curled at the side. She had done a wavy pattern with her front hair and was now tinting her lips with a cherry lip balm.

All set, she hung her bag that was quarter filled with books on her shoulder. Taking deep breaths, she made her way to the door. Time to mingle and live normally. No, priorities in order - live normally before making friends.

The butler held his fingers folded close to the door as if almost knocking.

' You are an early waker, Miss Diva. Thought to wake you up so that you could dress early '. Diva accepted the compliment and headed to the elevator. Her mother sure had never let her sleep above seven in the morning. The days where she was exhausted from the previous evenings, were exceptions.

Breakfast was served on the table as she sat down to eat. After taking a few spoons she noticed the absence of her dad and the butler had not moved an inch to call him.

' What of dad?. Is he not joining us for breakfast? '.

' Sorry, Miss Diva, but he won't. Your dad had left early this morning. He said to wish you the best of luck today and all his love. Wanted to tell you after breakfast '.

Her dad told her to live normally but he wasn't. Still leaving early and coming back in the evening or late at night as it was then in the kingdom. Five days had passed since they left the kingdom.

Once done with breakfast, the butler escorted her out of the house and opened the door of the car for her where she entered, and dropped her bag on the seat.

' Have a nice day, Miss Diva. All the best today '. She smiled back at him when he had finished speaking with a smile on his face.

The door got closed and the car zoomed out of the gates.

Bringing out her phone, she tapped on her google icon and typed in 'royal highlight high school' into the search bar.

Different webpages with their views on the school popped on her screen but her finger went straight to the one that had the school logo.

The webpage of her school opened to reveal facts about the school. Her eyes were glued to her screen, swiping down where she could not see other information.

The twenty minutes drive to her school ended at the gate of the school. The gateman came to check on the occupants of the vehicle. After a few seconds, Diva saw him waving at another gateman to open gates, granting them entry.

They came to pack at the entrance of a small building with few doors. Coming down, the chauffeur accompanied her to one of the doors with 'PRINCIPAL' written in bold letters above it.
