Justin barely registered the fish and coral he was seeing as he blindly followed the guide's lead. At least Emily didn't seem distracted.

He peeked at her multiple times and saw how enthralled she was by her surroundings. Maybe she wasn't thrown for a loop but he certainly was! If she knew he was in love with her for so long, why didn't she say anything?

Unless…she didn't love him back and didn't want to make things awkward by bringing it up. Stupid! Why did he let his paranoia about sharks get to him? He didn't even see any out here!

He kicked his legs desperately to be sure he didn't stray from the guide, preferring to stick as close to an expert as possible. Distraction in unfamiliar territory could be the end of him.
