In the end, based on the hundreds of decorations she saw at Decoration Station, Emily chose paints with violet undertones for the house and left the bedrooms different shades of creamy off-white with the barest hint of purple. As the painters worked over the next three days Emily dragged Justin back and forth between Decoration Station and the furniture store what seemed like a hundred times as she tried to finalize everything.

The only mildly interesting thing about the process was witnessing her enthusiasm and wide-eyed wonder at everything she saw. Aside from that…Justin was bored out of his mind.
