  I feel my chest constrict. And my breaths come out short. My heart pounded furiously in my rib cage. Not in the good way I have come to know this past few weeks.

  "What? What are talking about?"

My vision swarm. I could barely make out the shapes in front of me, although I saw my mom, or whoever this was, crying.

  "Your mom, your biological mom.." my father starts. His voiced sounds like he was pained to say the words.

  "Diane, she was your mom—my mate's cousin.. and they were in a car accident on the way to the hospital to give birth to you, in the human world, your father, Isaiah, he didn't make it to the hospital, he died along the way. Your mom didn't come out of the labour room alive."

  A painful raw scream tore out of my mouth. Everything I knew and loved and turned upside down in a matter of seconds.

  My mom crawls to me and wraps her hands around me as we cry together.
