  "Well I'm supposed to ask her today and she hasn't accepted me yet, however, I still wanted to introduce you guys to each other." Seth chuckles nervously.

  I smile at him, to me he was far more than a boyfriend, he was my mate, mine, strictly mine, but I guess things like boyfriend meant a lot to humans. 

  James's mother sits beside me. A huge welcoming smile plastered on her face.

  "Wonderful child. You are very beautiful, but you are doing something right if Sethy here is nervous out of his mind just talking about you. He never even had a girlfriend before." 

  So he was not lying about his lifelong single hood.

"Thank you." 

"Let me leave you two to it then. Whatever you have today is on the house." 

"No way. You will let me pay." Seth argues.

"It's not for you. It's for Millicent. You are welcome darling. We can catch up some other time." She pats my cheek before disappearing into the kitchen.
