'Does she hate me because of the accident? How could she when it wasn't my fault?' he thought to himself. 

He thought back to all the good times he had with Angie and wondered how she could easily forget about them.

'Did it really mean nothing to her? How can she believe such baseless rumors? Why does she seem to enjoy me when I am so restless about her? I thought I was the one for her. I thought she was the one for me. Where did it all go wrong?' he thought.

  He looked at his phone, expecting it to light up with Angie's call or message explaining that she was sorry, but the screen was blank.

He held the phone in his hands, deciding to call Angie and his phone rang then, it was Calvin.

"Hello, dad," Evans said in a small voice.

"Hello. It's been a while since we heard from you. How is your health?" Calvin casually asked.
