Chapter 58
Natashia gasped, pressing a hand to her mouth as she stared at Ryuu. The guards looked around, weary of an attack since they couldn’t see him. Ryuu bowed his head to Natashia then turned to Huck. The man was staring, looking both amazed and star-struck, before quickly covering it with a blank expression. Ryuu bent forward and offered a paw to help Huck onto his back. Which Huck did after a moment of hesitation, wedging himself between a couple of Ryuu’s neck spikes.
“Ready to go Ryuu,” Huck called.
Without waiting, Ryuu took off, leaping off the ground and flapping his wings at the same time to gain altitude quickly. He could feel Huck’s weight and was relieved when it didn’t shift.
