Chapter 51

Jayde had eventually grabbed the sheet off the bed and huddled in the corner with the blanket wrapped around her. She was curled on her side, facing the bars with her knees drawn up to her stomach. Her whole body felt swollen, sticky, and burnt. Like a burnt marshmallow. She couldn’t even lace her fingers together to hold her knees closer. They looked like huge hotdogs that had been stuck onto a bloated, fat man’s hands.
She also kept having mini muscle spasms that made her skin feel like it was going to tear open. They were mostly in her back, thighs and biceps, but there was an occasional one in her forearms and calves that had her whimpering.
