"Sam I can't stay with him... it's inappropriate " she muttered.

Sam laughed, "But there is nothing you'd do now. I can't disobey his orders & your parents don't want you back "

Mila sighed.

Damien sat back and looked at the door. He had sent his driver to pick Mila up from the hospital.

His heart moved to touch his loud pounding heart.

"Why are you so excited "he breathed.

He had the car arrive and got up rushing to the door.

His driver got out and took Mila's bag from the back seat then walked up to him.

Damien frowned looking back at the car.

"Where is Mila?" he asked.

"Am sorry, master but she seemed to have run off ".

"Huh?"

"I moved to put her bags in the car, and when I moved out to let her in she wasn't anywhere," he explained.

"And her friend?" he asked.

"She was gone too " he answered.

He sighed.

"Mila, you think you can get away " his cold eyes looked up at the dark sky.

Mila who had slept at Samantha's place arrived together with her at work. She was excited to be back.

With Rian away still healing from his injuries, Sam had told her Valeria had been transferred to a lower department.

She walked in with a smile holding onto her friend.

"Mila your back " her coworkers rushed to her.

She beamed.

"We are glad you okay, "they said.

"We are happy you back "

"Sorry we could not come to see you but Sam said you were doing fine "

"Mila " someone called behind the crowd around her.

They all fell silent turning to see who it was.

"Di...director "she muttered.

They moved back instantly and he walked to where she was.

"Morning, director," she said looking away.

Those deep beautiful eyes of his looked angry.

"I waited for you all night, why did you run away?" he said.

"Ah...a...a..." she fell silent.

"Did I do something to scare you?".

"No, it's not that" she gulped.

He sighed.

"Is it about sleeping together?" he leaned closer.

She inched back shaking her head.

"But we already slept together, why is it a problem now " he announced.

Mila looked up in shock hearing the gasps from her colleagues.

"But you slept so soundly that night so why is...I..." she moved covering his mouth

"It's not what you all think, "she said.

Damien blinked taking her hand away from his mouth.

She glared up at him and sighed. Her face was red now and the look in hers somehow scared him.

"Let's go talk in your office " she said walking off.

"Okay "he followed her.

They got to his office and she turned to him.

"You can't say such things in public "she yelled.

"Say what?".

"Sleeping together, "she said.

"Did I say that "he blinked.

She breathed, why was he so handsome?

"I waited for you, but you didnt come " he said.

"Am sorry " she said.

"Why didn't you come?" he asked.

He watched her trying to find the words to explain to him but failed.

"It's alright take your time...you can pick your things after work " he said.

Mila was gloomy the whole day.

They walked out of the company and Sam suddenly grabbed her hand.

"Are you going to let him hate you too?" she asked.

Mila shook her head.

"He's the first person to make me feel so confused " she muttered.

Sam laughed. "Okay, I guess we don't like him yet ".

Mila sighed. "What should I do, Sam "

"Don't ask me, that's a question you need to answer yourself " her friend answered.

Mila breathed smiling. She pulled away and turned running off.

"We're are you going "yelled Sam.

"I can't let him wait for me anymore " she smiled running off.

Sam laughed waving at her.
