Skai couldn't help but feel a twinge of remorse as memories of the past flooded back. Having experienced mistreatment from her family, she was well acquainted with the feeling.

"Yas… I understand your emotions, but it's important to acknowledge that what happened is now in the past. You've transformed. You are no longer that timid girl who couldn't say no or stand up to those maltreating her."

With a gentle touch, Skai lovingly comforted her friend by stroking the back of their hand. "You're a bada…" As fate would have it, her lips couldn't help but stretch a little wider as an inevitable sneeze escaped.

Yasmin gave her an apologetic look. 

Even though she felt hesitant, she knew she could not make Skai suffer going out when she was supposed to be resting at home.
