Zachary's confession made Eliana speechless, even though that was what she wanted to hear. A phone call broke the intense moment and Zach sighed when he saw who was calling.
"Give me a minute, I need to answer this." Zach took a step back to answer the call.
Eliana turned back to the mirror, placed a hand on her chest, and whispered to herself, "Calm down." But those words didn't stop her heart from racing.
"My mom wants to take you out shopping and insisted you spend the day with her, which means I don't get to see you until tomorrow when we say I do."
"Your Mom?" Eliana asked, surprised that Charlotte wanted to spend the day with her.
"You don't want to?"
"No, it's not that. I'm just surprised she wants to spend the day with me. I thought she hated me." Eliana said.
"My mom doesn't hate you, Eli. Use this opportunity to bond with her."
