NOAH'S POV (PAST)
The backyard shone just like stars in the sky. Lots of decorations, lights, and laughter. There were chairs, and round tables assigned to specific people even waiters were serving drinks in expensive suits.
I have heard a lot about the way Serrano's throws parties.
I am surprised they invited me even when I tried to destroy their company.
I walked around, talked to a few people and then decided that it was time to sneak inside their manor and check if I could find anything.
After making sure that the Senior Serrano and his grandson were busy, I entered inside and explore the complete manor until I reach the first floor.
It didn't seem as empty as the ground floor; someone was here and I needed to know who.
If it's someone with the same motive as me then I would gladly offer them a hand of friendship.
I checked every door, nook, and corner until I saw a tiny shadow lurking around.
Someone was keeping an eye on my and whoever it was, he was not good at being discreet.
I could make out their figure in dark, he was crouching low to stay hidden with the wall but the position of lights and his shadow gave his position away.
I tried to act nonchalantly and walked towards the shadow and caught the hidden person by surprise, the gasp and the softness of the body made me realize that it was not a man but a woman.
I don't know who she was but she shared a lot of similarities with Alex.
Is she related to them?
"Who are you?" I asked but she took advantage of my distraction and ran away from me. I followed her and we both reached a room in a far corner.
I locked the door so that she can't run away from me.
I wanted to know if she is also somehow related to the Serranos.
"Why did you run away from me?" She kept quiet and looked away. Because of her long hair, I couldn't see her face properly and she was trying her damn best to make herself look small.
"I asked you a question." I raised my voice and she flinched and clutched her elbow tightly.
"Au-aurora." She mumbled lightly.
Her voice was very light and sweet almost honey-like.
"Why did you run away from me Aurora? I am not going to hurt you." I said softly and she finally turned her head towards me to knock all the air out of my lungs.
Beautiful was a small word to describe her, she was exquisite, she looked like an angel standing in the middle of this giant room and the way she was holding on to herself made her look even more ethereal and innocent.
"Promise?" She asked slowly and her voice held a certain vulnerability in her voice that I couldn't help but melt.
"I-I promise."
"I thought you…you are here to hurt me." She said and looked at me curiously.
"Um…no. I was looking for a bathroom." I lied.
"Oh." She said and pouted.
God damn she is adorable.
"Who are you Aurora and what are you doing here?" I questioned.
"I am Alex's sister." She confessed and once again it shocked me to the core.
Sister?
Does Alex Serrano have a sister?
I didn't even know…I mean, I don't think anyone knows. Their entire life is displayed on the tv almost every day but never once I heard her name.
"Are you….his real sister?" I questioned once again just to be sure.
And she nodded in confirmation.
This changes everything.
I was looking for something that can help me shake the entire Serrano empire but I didn't know that I would actually find something else entirely or rather someone else.
"What are you doing upstairs? Why are you not joining everyone else at the party downstairs?" I questioned and slowly stepped a little close to her.
"I am not allowed. Grandpa doesn't want me to."
"Why?" I asked and she shrugged her shoulders as if she didn't know the answer to that question. The gesture was innocent but I knew that if she is a Serrano that means she can't be trusted.
"He never let me attend his parties." She confessed innocently and looked down.
"Oh…okay."
"Um…who are you?" She asked after sometime while I was lost in thoughts.
"I am a friend of your brother. Not friends exactly….but we do the same thing." I tried to explain but almost failed.
She frowned and finally raised her head to meet my eyes.
"Is he good?"
"What?"
"My brother…is he a good person?" She asked and now it was my turn to frown.
What kind of a question is that?
Why is she asking as if she doesn't know if she know her brother at all.
"Um…yeah." At least he is better than Senior Serrano.
She smiled at me and ran towards her bed, jumping on it with happiness.
"Um…thank you. For telling me." She said and clutched her pillow tightly.
"Why don't you come and join me downstairs?" I asked.
"I can't…grandpa will scold me if I did that." She said and visibly shivered at the thought.
I nodded and wished her goodnight before walking out of her room.
This Serrano family is definitely hiding a lot of things from everyone including their own blood.
A granddaughter that no one knows about, a sister who's name was never mentioned in public.
But the main question is why?
Why are they hiding her and if she is so precious then maybe I should take advantage of this situation.
An evil idea formed in my head and I smirked when I realized that she could be a perfect tool for me, that I can use to control these Serrano's.
I am going to use his precious granddaughter and destroy them and for that I will have to destroy her innocence first.
