Scared She Will Love Another

Jeanohntae and Christian entered the car and drove to the book signing. While sitting in the passenger side waiting to get there, Jeanohntae started humming a happy tune.

Christian glanced and Jeanohntae and back at the road. "You must really be excited to meet him. You're acting like a little kid who just received candy." Christian said with a small chuckle.

Jeanohntae did not take his comment to heart. She just smiled and simply replied. "Of course I'm excited. I have read all his books. However, I have never met him. I consider him like my inspiration. Sometimes when I reread his books, it makes me want to become a writer myself."

Christian had a slight frown on his face when he heard her praising another man. It made him feel a bit uneasy. He himself could not understand the feeling. They were not dating, although he wished that they would. So why was he feeling a little mad when Jeanohntae was talking about another man!??

Christian just looked at Jeanohntae smile and his uneasiness vanished. Her smile can make all his troublesome worries disappear.

After another 20 minutes of driving. They finally reached the book signing. Upon entering, all eyes were on the pair that walked in. Jeanohntae went to get a book and lined up with Christian.

Jeanohntae waited patiently and excited to finally meet C.J.S. It was about their turn when the author looked up and saw Christian standing in line with a beauty standing next to him. He was shocked. "Chris!?? What are you doing here!?? I was gonna stop buy your office tomorrow and drop off a book."

Christian just nodded and turned to Jeanohntae. "Actually I'm here with her. This is Jeanohntae. She did not to wait till tomorrow. She just really wanted to meet you for so many years but never got the chance and she wanted to jump at the opportunity to do so today. She is a really big fan of you apperently."

The author chuckled. "Is she your girlfriend." Christian looked at him and then at Jeanohntae. He did not know what he was supposed to say. Should he say yes, or no!?? He couldn't decide. He wants to say yes because they sleep in the same bed every night, so they should be together. However, he has to say no because they are not together.

Christian averted the subject and took the book from Jeanohntae and handed it to the author. "Just sign the book. She's really excited for it."

The author chuckled and looked down at the book to sign it. As he was handing the book to Jeanohntae, he slowly grazed his hand on Jeanohntae's. Christian saw and was getting upset, and his scowling face shows it all. The author smiled at Christian's face and simply said. "I'll still come by to chat a little. I'll be there at 10am sharp."

Christian nodded and proceeded to walk out when he noticed Jeanohntae was still standing in front of the author. Jeanohntae was standing completely frozen in awe. "Sir, my name is Jeanohntae. If I may, can I please shake your hand!?? I have read all your books and have been waiting so long to finally meet you." Jeanohntae stuck her hand out with her eyes sparkly with admiration.

C.J.S smiled and stuck his hand out in return for a handshake. "It was very nice to meet you Jeanohntae." Christian saw the sight of Jeanohntae holding hands with another man. It made him furious. He glared at C.J.S while C.J.S just smiled back at him and then to Jeanohntae.

After a long and intense handshake, Jeanohntae and Christian walked back into the car and drove off. While Jeanohntae was admiring the book, Christian had a sour look on his face which she noticed but did not want to say anything.

Christian broke the silence first. "Why are you holding hands with other men when we go out somewhere!??" Jeanohntae turned to him in confusion. "Ummm… I believe it's called a handshake when you meet other people. There's nothing wrong with shaking hands with someone."

"There is a problem. Especially when I'm with you." Christian responding sounding mad. Jeanohntae had no idea what his problem was. "Are you jealous Chris!??" Jeanohntae said with a small chuckle.

Christian glanced at her for a few seconds and then back on the road. "So what if I am!??" Jeanohntae was shocked. 'Why would he be jealous!?? We aren't even going out.' She thought to herself.

"Chris, You know we're not dating right!?? There's no need for you to be jealous." Jeanohntae did not understand his feelings. Christian could not hold it in anymore. "We sleep in the same room and on the same bed. We have even kissed. So why not!??"

Jeaohntae did not know what to say. She has never really experienced love, so she does not understand Christian's feelings.

However, Christian had a lot of patience when he has been waiting for Jeanohntae to love him back, but now he is getting a little scared if she falls in love with the author, or some other guy.

The car ride back home was silent and no one wanted to speak or even look at each other. As soon as they arrived, Christian turned to speak to Jeanohntae. However, when he looked at her direction, she was already out of the car heading into the house.

After entering the house. Joseph and Rudy noticed Jeanohntae rushing in. "Sweetheart where are you going!??" Rudy called out.

Jeanohntae turned around to look at the two men sitting on the couch. "I'm going up to read the book. No need for dinner later on tonight, I'm not hungry." As she was done talking, Christian walked in through the front door and she turned around and ran up the stairs not wanting to look or talked to him.

Christian saw her running away and wanted to go after her, but decided to go against it. He did not know what to but sit down on the couch and with his dad Joseph and Uncle Rudy sighing.

Joseph could not keep his curiosity to himself. "My boy, what is wrong!?? You seem down and Jean ran off when you came in."

Christian sighed. "We had a little dispute in the car. I guess now she doesn't want to talk to me."

Rudy started laughing. "Chris, just give her time. She loves you, so she'll come around."

"Yeah well, that was one part of the dispute. I have always told her I love her, but she won't say it back. After the book signing. She called me jealous. I told her I wanted to date her because we sleep in the same room, and we've kissed a few times. However, she didn't say anything. I don't know, maybe I am jealous. I'm gonna go check on her."

Jeanohntae went into the bedroom and onto the bed. She opened the book to read, but it was empty. She went through page by page but did not find a single word. She put the book down and turned on her back.

She was a little confused at Christian's words during the car ride. She laid in bed and stared up at the ceiling thinking of what she should say to him. Jeanohntae's head was hurting from thinking a lot, she slowly fell asleep.

Christian walked in and saw Jeanohntae sleeping. He did not want to bother her. He covered her with the blanket and laid beside her. Christian saw the book on the bedside table and decided to look what it was. When he opened it, there was nothing in it. All the pages were blank.

As he laid in bed, Jeanohntae turned and hugged him in her sleep. He's smiled and just stayed still. He slowly fell asleep in the arms of his sweetheart.
