Chapter 22: Awkward Moment

AMANDA’S POV:

“How can she just come up to us and stand here while we are having dinner? What is she even doing here? Is she stalking Antonio?” I thought to myself. I’m sure they can see the look on my face as I sit here with my chin resting on the palm of my hand. Then, Antonio spoke to her.

“Hey Mariah, I’m glad you could make it,” Antonio said.

When he said that to her, I instantly became furious. “What the HELL.” I thought.

“Hey Antonio, I’m glad I could make it also,” Mariah replied.

“Have a seat,” Antonio said.

Mariah sits next to Antonio, she puts her briefcase on the ground next to her. The blood is rushing through my body, my blood pressure is going through the roof as she sits next to him. All I can think about is, “We are here having dinner and what the hell is she doing sitting with us? Antonio just lets her sit here, I’m so furious at him. Why would he do this to me?”
