Class and Job System 2

Harem High School or High School Harem, was the only game that did not have so much focus on Jobs or Classes.

The whole game was based on High School. While there were playable characters outside the school system, they were not popular and had very little advantage.

Unless they were an interest to be conquered, all other characters outside high school were basically plot pushers or background characters.

But this gave Sam the avenue he needed to further limit the freedom and power of characters.

The thing that he was most afraid of was a character with a hero complex coming to seek justice while he was living his life normally.

That was also the reason he did not attempt to live a normal life. His background was already set. And it had been for generations on end. His family name was already a household name in the dark world and every big short knew about it.

It would be strange if no one had strange ideas about him. Especially after the system started running properly.

Harem High School had two main job classes that were of importance.

One was the student and the other the teacher. These two had their advantages and disadvantages, but what Sam was interested in was not the classes themselves, but the requirements to get said classes.

The student was easy to figure out, one only needed a certificate from middle school, and to pass the entrance exam. These two were not even of any importance because the game directly starts from the entrance ceremony.

The qualifications to become a teacher were what he was interested in.

The system was very strict on this one and this made many players prefer to play as female teachers.

It was easier for a female teacher to get it on with a male student than for a male teacher to get a chance to make a move on a female student.

Male teachers were also very rare in Harem High School.

To acquire the position of a teacher, one needed a lot of things, including a certificate of qualification.

Sam was only interested in this certificate.

This certificate was only available in qualified institutions and he planned to adapt this system.

And he did exactly that.

The new class and job system was a combination of all job class systems from all five games. Their requirements were also different but what he did was make the certificate of qualification a mandatory requirement.

This move directly cut off the path of advancement for most characters.

While some games did not have strict requirements to qualify, they could only help characters get to level 10 or 20 if they found some loopholes.

This certificate of Qualification was a product of the job system of Harem High School. The system would automatically offer the certificate once the qualifications were met, but before that, he had made it a secret about classes.

While he could not stop the class system, he could force characters to take a certain path.

The certificate determined which class a character would take and how far they could go in said class.

It was possible to get multiple certificates and pursue multiclass paths, but that would only make things even more difficult.

Sam did not hold back on setting the standards for the certificate.

From the very beginning, he did not want this system. It was best for them to not know anything about classes and jobs. But since he could not hide it, he planned to control it.

The first requirement was the level of the character. For any character to have any chance of getting this certificate, they had to first reach level 10.

He did not care what class or job one wanted. Even a simple kindergarten teacher had to meet this condition.

And in his hypocrisy, he even came up with a rather sane reason. He had already increased the respawn rate of low-level monsters. It wouldn't be strange to have dungeon outbreaks of monsters level 10 and below on a daily basis. If the teachers could not even protect the kids, what right did they have to be teachers?

He was not a good person to begin with, he did not mind destroying the futures of some people to keep his life. And since the system allowed him to do this, it meant that this move was still in the proximity of fairness.

The second condition was having maxed out the basic stats required to get a certain certificate.

He had already made strict conditions for leveling up. Leveling up required all stats to match the current level meaning that a level 9 character could not level up to level 10 if any of their stats remained at the level of a level 8 character.

While stats did not have a leveling cap, it was easier to earn experience points than stat points.

It was a vicious trap that could stress many characters and make leveling a very tiresome task. But this was what he was going for.

These games were made with different goals in mind. And now that they had become his reality, he had to make sure that the future path of many characters was under his influence if not direct control.

The second condition would force many characters that were aiming for a specific path to mark time at level 10 for a longer time.

The game system also had an automatic reward system that would reward major breakthroughs with skills of some kind.

This function was good for Avalon Online, but he did not need it in this place. But he was helpless and could do nothing about it.

He assumed that following this system, every level up from a tenth-place level would be accompanied by some skill.

He had to prevent such level-ups as much as he could. He was not going to enjoy such benefits anyway, he might as well drag others down with him.
