A/N: This whole chapter is basically a trigger warning

ALEX'S POV

"Come in!" I exclaimed as someone knocked on my door. I pulled down the sleeves of my hoodie. I recently relapsed, but they don't know about it. Mom and Wilmer are too focused on each other to even notice me anymore.

"Wilmer and I are going out for dinner together tonight. You'll be okay by yourself?" Mom asked, entering my room.

"Yeah, I'll be okay." I answered. No, I won't.

"Good." Mom smiled. "We'll pick up something to eat for you on our way back. Anything specific?"

"Anything is fine." I told her.

"Okay. I love you, baby girl." Mom came over and kissed the top of my head.

"I love you too." I replied. As soon as I heard both of them leave, I pulled out some stuff from under my bed. The stuff included a rope and a note I was working on last night. They won't miss me. I grabbed a pen and continued my note.

"Dear friends and family,

I love you guys so so so much. I was truly happy for awhile. I really was, but happiness doesn't last forever now does it? They came back stronger than ever. I've been here before, so shouldn't I know how to fight them? I tried so hard, but they just won't go away. This is the only way they will go away. I'm sorry I'm saying goodbye like this. So.. goodbye.

- Love, Alexis Grace Lovato"

I then started a separate note for Mom.

"Dear Mom,

Look at me now.. Are you proud of your precious child? I've tried for so long to fix this and fit in with everyone but I've come to realize this world's full of sin and hatred. There's nothing for me here, I'm just a waste of space. I've got no reason to stay here in this world.

It's a disgrace, I was misplaced, born in the wrong time and in the wrong place. It's okay though, 'cause you'll see me again. You'll know when your time has come, just look at the moon when the moon shines bright throughout the night.

Just remember everyone's facing their own fight. I can't deal with the pain, I'm not a fighter. You'll make it through the night, just hug your pillow tighter.

So let the world know, that I died in vain cause the world around me, is the one to blame. I know in a year, you'll forget I'm gone cause I'm not really something to be dwelled on. That's what they used to tell me, all those kids at school. I was going to school because of the laws. My presence on this earth is not needed any longer and if anything, I hope this makes you stronger.

You're the best friend that I ever had, it's such a shame I had to make you so very unhappy.

Just remember that you meant everything to me and you're the only one who held the key to my heart.

I'm running out of space to write so now it's time go. Yes, I lost my fight, but please just hold on tight. I'm watching over you from the clouds up high and sending down the purest and whitest dove to watch over you, and be my helpful eye

So this is it, goodbye.

- Love, Alexis Grace Lovato"

I sighed as I neatly folded the notes and set them on my bed. I walked downstairs and grabbed one of the chairs, bringing it upstairs with me. I put the chair under a hook that held my hammock chair, which was now sitting in the corner of my room. I grabbed the rope and stepped onto my chair, proceeding to tie the rope to the hook. I'm just a few seconds, I'll be gone. No one will have to worry about me. I'll be happy again. I tied a loop on the other end of the rope and put it around my neck, making sure to tighten it. I kicked the chair out from under me and the world faded to blackness. This is it world, goodbye.

DEMI'S POV

"Tonight was a lot of fun, babe." I told Wilmer as we entered the house.

"It really was. I got to spend it with a very special lady." Wilmer said before he kissed me. I smiled at him.

"Is it just me or does it seem too quiet?" I questioned. He just shrugged as a response. "Alex, we're back and I got dinner!" I shouted up the stairs. No response.

"Alex!" Wilmer tried shouting upstairs this time.

"I'm going to bring it to her." I said before I went upstairs with a Subway sandwich in my hands. "Alex, I'm coming in." I said before knocking on the door. I walked in and I saw my baby girl just hanging there, her face was violently bare.

"No, no, no!" I panicked as I went to quickly untie the rope, hoping it wasn't too late. "W-WILMER!" I screamed as I got the rope untied and held Alex's lifeless body in my arms.

"What is it, Herm-" Wilmer started saying but I interrupted him.

"C-Call an ambulance!" I cried out. "P-Please be okay!" I sobbed as Wilmer called 9-1-1. Wilmer knelt down next to me while on the phone and rubbed my back. Everything else that happened was a blur. The paramedics rushed over and took Alex, putting her on a gurney and into the ambulance.

"Miss, I think it's best if you meet us at the hospital." One of the paramedics spoke. "We would let you ride along, but we need space to work in there."

"That's my baby girl in there!"

"Babe, calm down. We can just meet them there." Wilmer spoke soothingly.

"Calm down? Calm down?!" I scoffed. "How do you expect me to calm down when my baby could be dead?!" I cried. Wilmer pulled me into his embrace as tears were blurring my vision. I let out a choked sob as I watched the ambulance drive away with my baby girl.

"Come on, Hermosa. We need to get going to the hospital.." He spoke up after a minute. I nodded, wiping away some tears even though it was useless because I couldn't stop crying. I got in the car with Wilmer and we drove as fast as we could to the hospital. Please let my baby girl be okay.
