ALEX'S POV

"Alex, it's time to get up. You have a photoshoot in two hours. We have to get going soon." Mom spoke softly as she rubbed my back.

"Photoshoot?" I asked groggily. No one told me about one.

"Did I not tell you. I knew I was forgetting something!" She facepalmed and I tried to stifle a laugh. "Grandma is joining us too!"

"Really?!" I asked excitedly. "Why not Maddie?"

"She's busy hanging out with Logan. She thinks we're not cool enough." Mom jokes.

"I'm cool. I don't know you about you though." I joked back. She put a hand over her heart and pretended to be hurt.

"H-How could you?!" She fake cried.

"I'm sorry, Mama! You're cool to me! I love you!" I hugged her and she hugged back.

"I love you more though!" She exclaimed as she threw me over her shoulder.

"Put me down!" I laughed as she carried me downstairs.

"Should I ask?" Grandma asked and laughed.

"Nope!" Mom said as she put me down at the kitchen table. "Eat." She pointed to a bowl of cereal. I gulped as sweat formed on my face.

"M-Mama.." I choked out. "H-Help.."

Mom was about to come and help until Grandma spoke up.

"Come here, baby girl." Grandma said as she held her arms out. I went over to her and Mom let out a slight gasp.

"She's smaller than you, Mama.." Mom said to Grandma. (A/N: That's how short/skinny Alex is)

"Alex. Why won't you eat?" Grandma asked.

"I'm fat and ugly." I replied. "I need to be skinny to be pretty."

"You don't need to be skinny to be pretty." She stated. "Do you think your Mom and I are fat?"

"No! You're so beautiful!" I exclaimed.

"You're skinnier than us and you think you're fat. You're beautiful just the way you are. Alright? Don't listen to anyone that says otherwise. You're perfect the way you are and you shouldn't try to change it." She said as she kissed my forehead.

"Okay.." I spoke.

"Now eat." Grandma said as she got up. I nodded and slowly ate all of my cereal.

"Good job, baby girl." Mom hugged me and I smiled. "Go get dressed. We have to leave soon." She said as she let go of me.

"Okay!" I ran upstairs and went to find a decent outfit.

"I'm ready!" I yelled as I ran downstairs. I was wearing a black leather jack, a Beatles shirt, black ripped jeans, and black converse. What can I say? I love black.

"Perfect!" Mom exclaimed. "Just on time because Maxipad just arrived!"

"Wait! I want to be fashionably late!" I laughed. "Go outside without me and then I'll be out there."

When they went outside, I waited about a minute. I ran out the door trying to be like a stunt man. I ran down the steps and jumped off the last three. Luckily for me, Maxipad was there. I fell and almost face planted but he caught me.

"Be more careful!" Max exclaimed as he was laughing.

"What the heck was that?!" Mom laughed as I got in the back seat with her.

"I pulled a Demi!" I laughed. She playfully punched me and I pouted jokingly.

"We're here!" Grandma explained as the car parked.

"Five more minutes." I mumbled. I fell asleep in the car on the way here.

"Nope!" Mom said as she picked me up out of the car. Paparazzi were taking pictures and shouting things.

"Alexis! What have you been doing since your suicide attempt?!" One shouted.

"Did you kill your dad?!" Another one shouted.

"SHUT UP!" Mom shouted angrily at them. I whimpered and hid my face. We made it into the building without me having a full blown panic attack. Mom put me down and as soon as I was put down, Max walked through the door.

"Max!" I exclaimed excitedly as I ran up to him. "I thought you were working!" I said as he picked me up.

"I was, but I got off early." He smiled.

"Where's my hug?" Mom asked and pretended to sound upset. Max put me down and hugged Mom and kissed her.

"Get a room!" I joked. "Ohh! We have Maxipad," I pointed to our security guard. "and we have Max!" I pointed to Mom's boyfriend.

"Are you ready, Alex?" Scooter asked as he came up to us.

"Yep!" I smiled excitedly. The photoshoot went amazing! I didn't even have a mental breakdown about how I looked this time. For me, that's a plus.

"You did it, baby girl!" Mom smiled as I ran into her embrace. I breathed in the fresh scent of her perfume. She was about to let go but I just held on tighter.

"Carry me?" I asked sweetly.

"You're lucky I love you." Mom smiled at me as she placed me on her hip. We walked outside and I panicked when I saw all the paparazzi.

"Mama!" I cried out.

"It's okay. I'm here. Mama is here, baby girl." She cooed as she made me look into her eyes. I calmed down as soon as we got in the car.

"Can I post on Instagram?" I asked as I looked at Mom.

"Of course!"

"I'm tired! Why are photoshoots so exhausting?!" I exclaimed as I threw my head back.

"You can sleep on the way back, baby girl." Mom said as she pushed hair out of my face.

"Thank you." I replied thankfully. I ended up falling asleep almost right away.
