Secret Ingredient
"Good morning." Oliver stifled his yawn by covering his mouth as he entered the kitchen. "That smells good."
A scent of something sweet and buttery greeted him as he entered the room. There, standing in front of the stove, was Olivia, making breakfast.
"Good morning," Olivia greeted back, flipping the pancake and ensuring the other side wasn't overdone.
"What's cookin'?" Not even waiting for her reply, he peered over her shoulder to check what she was frying. "Pancakes?"
"And bacon," she added, gesturing at the plate full of pancakes set aside on the counter. "You don't mind grains, right? Since you know, flour is made out of wheat."
He rolled his eyes. "I know what flour is made out of, Liv. But to answer your question, I eat grains."
