"Do we really have to do this? That's our son Benj. You can't just send him away in some "school" for people like him!" My wife pleaded, tears were rolling down on her rosy cheeks. I wipe her tear clean and cupped her cheeks, to see her this way makes my heartache.

"We have to honey, he's not normal anymore," I explained. Her eyes tell a different opinion. She pushed me away, I was surprised by that sudden action.

"Who cares if he can do unnatural things! He is still OUR son!" She cried out. I wasn't able to control myself, I hugged her tightly as she continues to push me away.

"We need to be strong. We have to be strong." I reassured her. Thankfully she calmed down, I let her rest on my shoulder as she continues to cry from the pain. In our six years of marriage, we haven't encountered this kind of painful situation. To send away my firstborn son, the heir to our fortune and the one that carries our family name, and pretend that he never existed destroys every fiber of my being but seeing my wife in a much worse state than I am right now, makes me want to be strong, for her and for our son.

We walked towards our son's bedroom, carefully opening the door fearing that he might wake up to the sight of his mother in tears and his father a mess. We watch our son peacefully sleeping not knowing that this might be his last night here with us. With his father and mother and his siblings that love him very much.

"I'm gonna miss him so much." I blurted out, I couldn't hide my emotions anymore. Tears were now rolling down my cheeks as the floodgates were open, I felt my wife's hand holding on my trembling hand. I gave her a weak smile, and she smiled back in response. Together we walked towards our son and sat beside his sleeping body.

"We love you, Zion. We love you so much." I kissed him on the forehead one last time.

"Start of something new."
