Chapter 1: The Thief, The Beginning of the Story

Under the moonlight, a one-eyed thief grins maliciously. With a swift flash of his blade, crimson blood splatters on the ground. "Die, brat," he sneers, leaving behind the lifeless body of a young boy named Hellsing as he strolls deeper into the forest.

Suddenly, a swarm of bats appears, their crimson eyes fixated on the blood-soaked ground. They land on the surrounding branches, their chittering echoing through the night air. The blood-soaked earth abruptly rises, forming a towering wall from which a cross, adorned with intricate patterns, slowly emerges. The bats rush towards the cross, staining it a vivid red.

A strange voice echoes through the forest, "The crucifix hangs on the wall, a devil hidden within. Come, raise your sword and point it towards heaven!" The one-eyed thief, hearing this, looks back. His pupils shrink to a thin line, his hair stands on end, and cold sweat soaks his clothes. Once regarding life as insignificant, the thief now runs like a dog with its tail between its legs, believing that as long as he can get back to the hideout, he'll be safe.

Behind him, the corpse on the ground turns into a pool of blood, floating eerily in the air before merging into the crimson cross. With a thunderous noise, the towering wall collapses, embedding the crimson cross in the earth. Streams of black smoke appear, slowly coalescing into the silhouette of a person, with crimson light emanating from the eyes. More bats gather from all over the forest, crashing into the shadowy figure. Sensing danger, the animals lurking in the forest desperately flee in all directions.

A moment later, the crimson cross disappears, and the shadow solidifies. "Am I called Hellsing?" a hoarse voice rings out. It seems to question something, yet also affirm something. The shadow shrinks, transforming into the figure of a young boy, identical to the Hellsing who died earlier. But Hellsing is already dead. Now, he is Alucard, or the Vampire King known as Hellsing. "A chaotic world, interesting," Hellsing muses, glancing in the direction the thief fled before starting to walk.

At the end of the road, there's an abandoned village. A bonfire illuminates the ground and a carriage is haphazardly tied to the side of the road. Food, fine wine, and glittering gold coins are scattered on the ground. "The aristocrats, who usually look down on us, licking my boots in a pathetic attempt to survive, what a delightful feeling!" one of the thieves exclaims. "We should move on. The towns around here know about us. The death of these nobles today will surely prompt the kingdom to act."

"That's enough, these fat sheep will keep us living in luxury for a while," another thief declares as they fall into revelry, clinking their cups together, laughing uproariously, and celebrating today's haul. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps treading on branches comes. The drunken thieves look at each other, hands on their knife hilts, looking towards the source of the noise. A one-eyed thief appears in their line of sight.

"So, it's just Old Three!" A thief can't help but laugh, the tense atmosphere dissipates. "Should be safe now, right?" The one-eyed thief, panting heavily, looks back. All is calm, and he finally relaxes. Under the numbness of alcohol, the thieves fail to notice the oddity of the one-eyed thief. The one-eyed thief also forgets his previous fear, immersing himself in the revelry. The thieves, numbed by alcohol, fail to notice his odd behavior. They continue to celebrate their haul of wealth, fine wine, and food.

Suddenly, a young boy emerges from the forest. After a quick glance around, a cold smile appears at the corner of his mouth. "When did this kid show up?" a thief suddenly speaks, drawing the attention of the group to the boy.

"Damn it," the one-eyed thief curses under his breath. He looks around, sees only his own people, and gains some confidence. "Playing tricks," he scoffs, drawing his knife and advancing on the boy. "Kid, if I can kill you once, I can kill you a second time."

The sound of clapping echoes. "Go, Old Three, cut him down," one thief encourages. "Kill this arrogant little noble," another adds. The thieves don't take the boy seriously at all, laughing wildly.

The boy, Hellsing, picks up a long sword from the ground, holding it in his hand. "Come at me together," he says, his voice devoid of emotion. His words leave all the thieves stunned.

"What did this kid say?" A thief feigns surprise. "He... he's asking us to attack together?" The thieves laugh, dismissing the boy as a clueless little noble. "Old Three, don't hold back, teach him a..." one thief begins, but his words are cut off.

Hellsing moves. The long sword in his hand simply thrusts forward. It resonates with a clear hum, the bright moonlight refracts off the blade, hazy and indistinct. The next second, the moonlight intensifies, reflecting off the sword, like a white rainbow, mixed with sword qi, rushing out!

"Watch out!" A thief opens his mouth to say something. But the rainbow-like sword qi has already slashed towards the one-eyed thief!

P.S: does anyone still remember the anime Hellsing? A masterpiece of violent aesthetics, truly deserving of its name!
