67 Chapter 67 - Becoming The First Dual-Bender

After seras called the man Pathetic, he became furious and dropped the boulder on top of her. He smirked when the boulder hit the ground causing a shockwave.

"Stupid bitch. Thinking I'm weak." He goes to walk away when a voice stops him.

"It's not that I think you're weak, you just are. In both ability and personality." Her voice gets louder as she talks.

The man gets shocked as a black oval appears on the side of the boulder. Then seras slowly walks out of it making him freaked out.

"It's my turn now." She grins as she disappears from the man's view.

He looks to the left only to feel a hand on the back of his head. Next thing he knows, his face is buried into the rocks and a large crater forms around it. He grunts when the hand lets go.

"Wow, I'm impressed. A normal human's head would have been pulverized from the strength I used." Seras' tone is actually impressed.

The man begins to get up as she continues.

"Is it because you gained strength from earth bending? Or because the chi of earth bending is strength based?"

"What are you talking about!?" He yells while jumping in the air.

He extends his leg out to kick her and grins evilly as it's about to connect. However the grin becomes shock before turning to fear as a couple seconds pass and he is still in the air. He sees a hand grabbing the bottom of his foot which is what's holding him up.

"Was that supposed to actually do something?" She asks sarcastically as her eyes begin to glow a bright red.

The man is about to yell when seras clutches her hand and his foot gets destroyed. He screams in pain as seras dropped him.

"Agh! What the hell!?" He grabs his ankle while grunting.

"What's with people and holding the injured area after they get hurt? It's not like it would heal it." She casually strolls around the man while asking rhetorically.

"S-Shut up! Bitch!" The insult comes easily and seras gets angry before placing her foot on his other leg.

"St-Stay away!" he drags himself while earth bending spikes to injure her.

Seras phases through each spike as she walks closer to the man who is constantly screaming. Tears and snot are coming out of his face as she gets within a meter of him. She smirks again before squatting down and leans into his face.

"You are a disgusting, useless, sack of shit. I don't want to know what you did to your victims, but just knowing you have killed and tortured children gives me enough reason to do what I'm about to." She opens her palm and a ball of flame appears about the size of a tennis ball.

"W-Why are y-you doing th-this?"

"Why? It's just my hobby." she shrugs her shoulders.

"H-H-Hobby?"

"Yes, you know, like collect all 4 elements and win a prize?" her smile morphs into one her master would be proud of.

He goes to scream for help when her hand clamps his mouth shut. She then pops his jaw so it is now constantly open.

"Don't worry this won't hurt...." She brings the flame to his mouth making him surprised that it's not hot.

The flame begins to turn into a small snake like shape as it begins to climb down his throat. Seras feels the flame inside the man's lungs and stomach so she begins to increase the chi levels. The man tries to struggle as he feels the flames inside his body but Seras continues to hold him down.

"You know, Katara and the rest are nice and all, but I need some alone time every now and then. I mean, can you believe I haven't killed anyone in two weeks? It's so boring." She explains while the temperature reaches normal body temp.

"So I hope you can make me enjoy myself." The flame becomes hotter making the man scream.

Eventually seras notices that the man stopped struggling as he was sweating profusely. His eyes show pain and fear which makes her grin even wider.

"Do you feel like you're being cooked? Like a cut of beef or pork?" She asks as her teeth begin to sharpen in anticipation.

This action causes the man to start struggling once more but seras won't let him go.

"Be glad that you were good for something in your miserable life." she bites his neck and begins to drink the blood.

'This.....is amazing!' The warmed up blood tastes better than usual.

The man shrivels slowly before turning to dust. His clothes fall to the ground as seras looks up and closes her eyes. She feels the slight burning sensation of what feels like something moving in her capillaries and veins.

After the pain stops, the memories begin and Seras watches in disgust as the man kills and tortures his victims. The memories eventually stop as she opens her eyes to look at the full moon in the sky.

'There is only a month left....'

After Seras left the spot where she killed the criminal, she phases out of the ground where Appa is. He is surprised and gets up ready to leave when he notices that it is Seras. He grunts and starts licking her roughly.

"Haha, Calm down boy. Aang and the rest always take advantage of you. Let's see what I have to feed you." Seras pets appa on the bridge of his nose before looking through her inventory.

She finds barrels of watermelon and gets a few for him to eat. She also takes one for herself and rips it in half rather easily. Appa grunts again before starting to chew on the fruits he has never seen before.

As they were enjoying the snack, Seras was thinking about the future from now on.

'I've acquired fire and earth bending, but I'm still not exactly a master at using fire and I haven't even started using earth.' She licks the juices off of her hand.

'Plus air is out until I get my powers back and I go to the future when air benders were popping up randomly. That leaves water, I know for a fact that they meet an evil water bender in the later parts of the third book, but should I wait that long?'

She continues this line of thought before she realizes something.

'Why am I only going after evil people? I'm a fucking vampire and I don't even belong to this universe. When did I start to think that was natural?' She gasps loudly which scares Appa who is still enjoying the watermelon.

She doesn't reach an answer and decides to stop thinking about that and starts fiddling with her new powers.

'Fire bending is a problem because I'm a vampire and I don't normally need to breathe. So when I do, it becomes way more powerful than normal fire benders. But earth bending is all about strong movements and being steady.' She does a horse stance and closes her eyes.

'Okay, lets start with a Little Rock. More of a pebble.' She imagines a rock the size of a dime coming out of the ground and grunts before doing an openhanded uppercut movement.

Nothing happens and seras' face goes pink in embarrassment when she feels a trembling coming from beneath her.

'Oh shit! I forgot that vampires are far stronger and faster than normal humans.' Seras runs straight to appa and hops on him before yelling Yip Yip.

Appa flies away and right after, the section of the ground they were on starts crumbling away making the cliff into a more sloped flatland. Seras stares at the mess in wonderment when she hears multiple people yelling and stomping their way to the destroyed cliff.

"Let's find another spot to take a rest, ok?" Seras whispers to appa while patting his head.

Appa grunts in reply before flying away. Seras spends the rest of the night with appa in another area before sleeping. She wakes up when it's just past dawn and starts to stretch. Appa gets up too and starts to lick seras. She pets him before giving him some more watermelon. She eats a few slices and walks away to go back to the palace to see aang's trials.

Seras got back just in time to see Aang choose the person he will fight. Sokka and Katara are on the viewing platform practically covered in the genimite and only their faces are showing.

"Seras? Where have you been? I was so worried!"

"Oh, I was taking a tour of the city. I was bored staying inside the cell."

"How did you get out!?" Sokka asks with a yell.

"That was easy." Seras sticks her hand out and when it reaches the outer layer of his rock candy prison, her hand gets covered in darkness phasing through him.

"Ah! What!? What?"

"See? Simple." Shetakes her hand out and waves it in front of him.

"What did she do? I can't see." Katara asks.

"You don't want to know."

Seras walked past Sokka and looked at the arena while leaning on the railing. Aang was facing her so he saw her and waved. She smiles and waves back before looking at Bumi who is now disrobed and looking fierce.

'How can a human who is over a hundred years old look like that?' She wonders to herself when Bumi also looks back. He smirks at her before nodding in thanks. She nods back and now the two combatants face each other.

"What was with that?" Sokka asks.

"Oh nothing. I just helped him out with a gardening problem." She remembers the analogy from last night and smiles.

"Garden? What do you-" before he can finish the question, Bumi throws a few mid-air punches and boulders of different sizes come out of the ground and get thrown to Aang.

He dodges each boulder within a few inches and just as he dodged the last ones he sees Bumi within a meter of him throwing a kick. Aang jumps up and dodges the kick, but Bumi already earth bended a boulder and threw it again.

"Whoa!" Aang yells as he opens his glider and glides around the giant rock.

Bumi gives a mad grin as he stomps the ground and hundreds of small rocks spear around him. He then clenches both of his fists and those rocks start to sharpen into points. Aang pales as bumi flicks his wrist and those spikes start flying to him.

At this point Seras had a weird feeling. She never remembered this in the show so she is wondering what changed. Eventually she remembers the smirk Bumi had when he nodded and she thinks of something impossible.

'Does he know that I can earthbend now and he is doing different moves to show me? But why?' She watches the fight in rapt attention trying to soak every single movement in.

Eventually Bumi runs out of spikes so Aang lands and is huffing from exhaustion.

"Tired already, Avatar?" Bumi asks before an opening appears beneath him and he jumps in.

Soon after, the hole closes and Bumi is gone from view.

"Where'd he go?" Aang asks himself as he looks around.

Seras also tries to search for Bumi when the railing she is leaning on shows movement. She looks down to find lettering being formed on top of it.

-Pay attention, Rabbit.- it reads and Seras couldn't help but let out a little chuckle.

Aang turns his head to the left and all three spectators notice that Bumi's hand comes out of the ground and grabs his leg. Before he knows what happened, he is dragged into the earth with only his head showing. Bumi then jumps out of the ground and the hole closes up again.

"What will you do now, Avatar? Will you keep trying to dodge, or will you attack?" Bumi confidently asks while standing still.

Aang shows a determined look as he begins to breathe in. He then opens his mouth and a large gust of air shoots out letting him escape his predicament.

"Good. Now fight, or your friends will suffer." When he mentions that Aang looks up to find more of Katara and Sokka are covered.

"Oh my, It seems that they only have about 10 minutes left." His comment makes Aang angry as he begins to wave his arms around.

Both Seras and Bumi finally show a smile as he is getting serious.

"You shouldn't have threatened my friends." Aang yells as he releases a tornado of air which makes the dust and pebbles fly away.

Bumi earthbends am angled shield which makes the air go two different ways. Then he flicks his right hand which sends half of the earthen shield toward Aang,

Aang dodges it with a leap but the second half is heading toward where he is about to land. He doesn't have time to open the glider so he produced a sphere made of air and rides on it to safety.

"Ooh, that's a technique I haven't seen before." Bumi speaks out in an impressive tone but that makes Aang angrier.

Aang rides around the arena on his ball made of air but he can't figure out a way to defeat the mad king. Eventually he stops and lands on the ground with a look that means he is going to try to end it.

"Come avatar! Show me that you can save the world!"

"I never asked for this. I never wanted to be the Avatar." Aang states making both Sokka and Katara shocked.

"We can't choose who we were, but we can choose who we will be. Just because you're the avatar doesn't mean you can't be yourself." Bumi states and Aang gets into a stance.

After that Bumi produced more boulders and sends them Aang's way. What he didn't expect what's that Aang would run forward at an incredible speed. It was so fast that he couldn't turn to dodge so it's a matter of whether Bumi could hit him before he reaches his position.

Many of the boulders miss and Aang gets within a few meters when Bumi kicks the ground with his heel. He grins when a small hole appears where Aang's next step would be. However the outcome he was waiting for never happened. Aang steps into the hole but instead of his foot getting caught, he Airbended so it would float above it.

Bumi couldn't do anything when Aang sticks his staff within inches of his face and he grins in victory.

"I win."

"Is that so?" Bumi asks making Aang confused when he feels a small pebble land on his head.

He looks up to find the biggest boulder yet floating above both of them and his mouth tapes open In surprise. Only Seras who was paying special attention knew how the boulder appeared.
