A black BMW drove into the the vast compound which had a huge mansion in the middle of it. Around the mansion were trees and flowers of all kind that gave the mansion a homely vibe. The soft evening breeze blew around, picking the nice smell of flowers in all dimensions. The whole yard was lit up with electric power light. And the security around was on high alert.
The car drove into the garage and the engine went off after it was parked in a good position. The door to the driver's seat opened and Trevor came out of the car with his suitcase in his hands. With his black mask still covering his face, he matched out of the garage and into the house with the servants greeting him as he passed them by.
"You're finally home son. Welcome."
The voice of a man rang out in the whole living room that was lit up with chandeliers. The living room looked majestic, like that which a regal person would live in. It had all modern and expensive facilities and furnitures. It's colour decor were black and gold with a little touch of light brown colour. In one word, it was magnificent.
Trevor turned to where the voice was coming from. He removed his masked and bowed his head in greeting to the man sitting on the chair and was watching the television.
"Good evening Uncle."
Trevor greeted and with no plans of staying further, he turned to take his leave when the man's voice made him halt in his steps.
"For how long do you plan to carry this on?"
The man stood up from the chair and faced Trevor, he looked to be in his early 50s, he had slight wrinkles here and there on his face.
Trevor sighed because he knew exactly what the man was trying to say, this wasn't the first time they had this discussion and Trevor was already getting tired of the same discussion everyday.
"What?"
Trevor asked as he turned around to face Davis, he knew for sure that Davis wasn't happy about the whole thing but there was no way Trevor was going to back down already.
"You should stop this already and live a normal life like your peers out there. Forget about revenge, let it all go, for your own sake."
Davis spoke as his stare never left Trevor. Since Trevor's parent left the world, only he had been taking care of Trevor. Davis had always been in full support of whatever Trevor ever did, this was the very first time Davis was against Trevor's decision. He sighed as he looked at Trevor from head to toe and spoke.
"This isn't going anywhere, is it? You've wasted all your youth trying to investigate this and…"
"It's too late to stop now, they are already in search of me. And, I already made a promise to Dad in his death bed, to find who was behind what happened to my Mom. Uncle, if I don't prepare, then you can say it's going nowhere. But am working very hard to find every evidence against them."
There was a little pain in his voice as he spoke, he vividly remembered how his father cried even in his death bed, he already swore to fight. His mother's death wasn't ordinary but the public accused her of killing herself with her immoral behaviour.
"But for how long? I've lost too many people in my life and it's only you I have left, don't you understand that?!"
Davis was already raising his voice, he couldn't help himself. Trevor was his nephew and also his son, he couldn't stand seeing Trevor fight a battle that could claim his life. He knew very well that the people who killed his youngest brother's wife were no ordinary people.
Trevor snorted, he dropped his suitcase on the tiled floor and stared into Davis eyes with nothing but anger, pain and it's related feelings.
"For how long? I don't mind doing this for a hundred years! You understand that?! My mother was killed by that man and instead of helping, everyone agreed that Mom killed herself! Do you know that feeling?! It's hurtful!"
His eyes were red and was welling up but he held it all in.
"Don't you dare raise your voice at me son, you're not the only one suffering! Fine, but what about you? Don't you think you need a backup in your life? Look at you, the CEO of the best entertainment company yet you have nothing to back you up, you have no heir!"
Davis shouted back at Trevor with spittles flying out of his mouth to all dimensions. He too was equally angry.
"Pardon?"
Trevor was finding it difficult to apprehend what Davis was suddenly spouting about. He blinked his eyes as his mind was completely blank on what Davis was saying.
"Get a wife son. Get a son, a child. Get a family. Behind every successfully man is a woman. Look at all this, who would get them after you? At this moment, this should be what you should be thinking about."
Davis sighed and sat back on the chair. Only the heavens knew that this wasn't the fifth time Davis was talking about Trevor getting married. But the Trevor in question wasn't taking any of it serious, but that was in the past, not now that he had someone in mind.
Finally understanding what Davis was saying, Trevor stiffled his chuckle, his anger all vanished in an instant like they never came. At the thought of marriage, Jesy's face suddenly popped up in his head. He grinned like an idiot when he recalled what had happened today in his office. To him, Jesy was way too cute and hot too. He cleared his throat and walked close to the chair Davis sat on. Trevor sat beside Davis and placed his hand around Davis shoulder.
"About that, actually, someone already stole my virginity."
Aww, looks like our Trevor is thinking about Jesy.
