"Max, nephew, how long shall we wait?"
I don't know how many times I've heard this question since we went through the portal. All of them have the signature of the same person.
"Let's wait a little longer, big brother!"
"Let's wait, let's wait, it's been twelve hours since we got here!"
There's no way he doesn't know that there is a system clock on my screen. It's something else he wants to say. He says it can't take that long for thousands of people right behind us to follow him, and he's right!
"Okay bro, let's stop for another half hour, and then we'll be on our way!"
I can't contain it any longer. It's bubbling inside of me. I was going to follow Jennifer as we passed through the gate, but I'd been waiting where I'd been all day. Then half an hour passed, and time flows like water.
