12 : JOURNEY BACK TO BASE

James and the group continued their journey, it took them 1 whole day to clear the West side.

In all there were 14 banks, 8 construction warehouse and 5 cold storage. James received ₹ 156 crores, 257 wooden planks, 5,00,000 iron ore and 1000 ton scrap metal. He stored all the food available in the cold storage in his inventory.

James also rescued 45 survivors on his journey. He also took everything from their houses and from the houses which were abandoned.

While clearing the West side, James and his group killed total 36838 regular zombies, from which half were level five and half of remaining half were at level 10 and remaining were at level 20 there were also 47 level 15 mutated wolves, also 26 level 20 mutated wolf and 58 level 25 mutated boars. He also got 13 puppies and luckly found 6 wolf cubs. He immediately formed the contract with them and in the whole day, every new pet had level above 15 where as levels of Rachel, Monica, whisker and Samantha were above 25.

On the way back James bought 5 supply trucks, 5 armored bus, 10 drivers, 10 sub-machine gun and 50 regular soldiers. He alloted 5 driver to each truck and remaining 5 to each bus, he also placed 2 sub-machine guns each truck and bus, also alloted 5 regular soldiers each truck. Remaining were sent in the buses to protect survivors.

He also bought potions. There were new potions added in the list when James leveled up.

Medium level [₹ 1,00,00,00,000] :- Can help in regrowing lost arm or leg.

High level [₹ 10,00,00,00,000] :- Can save a dying person.

James bought 10 low level potions, 5 medium level and 3 high level ones. He didn't buy any mana recovery ones as he thought he won't need any for now and as his stats are up high, he can sense the change in the atmosphere and increase in quantity of mana in the atmosphere.

While James was out to get supplies, the life at base was peaceful.

"Honey, can you give me some sauce." Ross asked hellen to pass sauce. In the night of the day when James left the base, all were eating meat given by James and celebrating their safety.

"How can we enjoy when brother is out there risking his life for us?" Josh was a bit upset as James didn't take him on his journey.

"Relax Josh, James isn't alone out there and he is capable of taking his own care. Now sit down and finish your meat." Hellen got quite angry as Josh was about to throw away his meat.

"Yes mom." After hearing a bit of anger in his moms vice Josh just sat down and started eating again.

While everyone was talking and making conversations at the dinning table one person was quietly eating her dinner and thinking about something.

"Juliet, are you thinking about my big brother?" Sara asked the person who was mesmerized in her thoughts.

"Hmmm..... Oh, No, no. You have got it all wrong." First she just agreed and when she came back to her senses she declined the fact but her face was all red.

"Pfft...haha, Don't lie to me. Your face reveals everything." When Sara told these word, Juliet immediately put her hands on face to hide the redness of it.

"Sara why are you laughing like that?" Hellen asked when she heard Sara laughing like a an extremely funny joke was told.

"Nothing mom, I think I just found my second sister-in-law." Sara just casually told what she thought of the situation.

"What are you talking about?" Hellen was confused by Sara's words.

"Mom, I think Juliet loves brother James." Sara clarified herself in simpler words.

"Juliet is it true?" Hellen was excited to know Juliet's answer.

"Kind off." Juliet answered vaguely and in mosquito voice.

"I didn't und... " Hellen was interrupted by Juliet.

"I love him but I don't know about his feeling towards me." This time Juliet answered in voice that all can hear clearly.

"Don't sweat about it. We will talk about it with him when he comes back, now everyone get back to your dinner" Hellen just passed the question for next time.

'I did fell in love with James at first sight. I just hope he has feelings for me as I have for them.' These where Juliet's thought while eating.

The next days at the base were as regular and simple as possible. There were mini horses of zombies but the guards had it covered, Josh or anyone else didn't even had to lift a finger. Also there was enough food and meat for everyone.

Soon James and the group arrived at the base. Everyone got off bus and started walking towards the gate, everyone had hope and happiness in their eyes.

"Stop, identify yourself and your purpose." Jesus asked the group pointing guns at them.

"Jesus, it is me, open the gates." James came forward and ordered Jesus.

"Yes sir, Tony go inform mam about sirs arrival." Jesus opened the gates and the buses were parked at the East side beside the walls of base.

Tony got down from the guard post and went towards the mansion as they were strictly ordered by Hellen that they will inform her as soon as James is back.

"Mam, sir has arrived and he is heading over hear." Tony reported to Hellen.

"Okay, thanks for the report Tony. Get back to your post" Hellen sent Tony back to the post.

"Mom, won't you go to welcome him back?" Sara asked Hellen.

"No, someone is already on her way to do that." Hellen was talking about Juliet.

At the door of mansion,

"Welcome back." Juliet greeted James.

"It is nice to be back. And here drink this, it will help to cure your leg faster." James took out the low level health potion from inventory and gave it to Juliet.

"Thanks." Juliet drank the potion.

"Now try to move your legs." James told Juliet as he thought that the potion will start showing its effects immediately.

Suddenly Juliet gets up and kisses James on lips. James was first shocked by her action but soon starts kissing her back.

"Juliet would you like to continue in my room?" James asked in exciting voice and grabs her and takes her into his room.
