Rescue?

After Cain had left Loki, a lot was going on in Orario. Loki woke up a while ago and noticed that Cain had left her. She was a little sad about it and decided to ask if anybody knew where he went.

After asking around for a while. She found out that he went to the dungeon. She hoped he was fine, as it had been a while that there was a new promising member in her familia. But she chose to believe in him and waited... and waited.

The next day she was so stressed that she wanted to organize a small search group of her most elite members to find Cain in the dungeon while hoping she was not too late.

The group consisted of Ais, Riveria, and Bete. She believed they were enough as they should be searching the upper floors. And for adventurers of their level that should be easy.

While arriving at the entrance of the dungeon they decided to split up to cover more ground.

Meanwhile, Cain woke up, thanks to a massive headache. If he had some of his other memories, he would know that the headache was similar to a bad hangover. He tried to get up and looked around while trying not to be shocked. Everywhere around him he saw traces of the damage he had done. The dungeon was still trying to fix itself. But the hell flames proved to be difficult to deal with.

To see if he could find out more about what happened, he checked his status.

'Whoa, that is a lot to take in.', I thought. Okay, let's see first my stats have risen... well mostly my magic. 'Hey Hope, can I not transfer any stats from the monsters that I killed with my Hell Ambrosia, or do I really have to eat them?´, I asked.

"Ding!"

"Yes, for your Hell Ambrosia ability to work you have to eat them."

'Well that sucks, as nothing is left of them... and why is it that my magic has risen so much?', I wondered.

"Since you have used a high-level magic spell to kill a large group of goblins while being on a lower level than them, your excelia for magic increased exponentially."

´Oh, nice hehe. And lastly, can you give me a description of my new abilities?', I asked.

"Ding!"

"Acknowledged..."

"Hell Flame Manipulation: An upgraded version of the skill Fire Manipulation. It allows you to create and manipulate Hell Fire without the need for a spell. Though a spell will still be more powerful."

"Spell ~ Infernal King: A spell derived from your skill Hell Flame Manipulation. It calls on the flames of Hell to burn everything around you."

´Whoah I am getting more and more overpowered I guess. Those 2 abilities coupled with my Hell Flame Affinity becomes extremely strong.', I muttered.

I started preparing to go back when I heard something panting behind me.

I turned around to see if I had to fight again. And then I saw a gorgeous blonde girl with a sword. I wasn't sure who it was though, as I only went to the Loki Familia for 1 night.

'Are you Cain?', the girl asked in a neutral tone.

'Yes, I am. And you are?', I said.

'Ais Wallenstein, Loki sent us. She was worried about you.', she responded.

I was stunned for a moment, as I didn't expect anybody to be worried about me. I mean yeah I did join Loki's familia but I just joined it yesterday. She shouldn't be worried about me, right? And then I heard Ais ask me something, which pulled my attention back.

'Why are you naked?', Ais asked.

F*ck..., I quickly tried to explain myself and said that my clothes were burned due to a magic spell I used. But I knew she didn't completely trust my words when I looked into her eyes. But so what, it is not that I am ashamed of my body. I still covered myself up though as I wasn´t an exhibitionist.

I also started wondering about why the flames didn´t burn me if they burned my clothes. ´Hope, can you explain why that is the case?'

"Hihi, a side effect of your current race is fire immunity."

´But I am human right?´, I asked.

"You are partially correct. But you are not a complete human. The reason for that, however, I am still not allowed to say due to your insufficient level."

´Well more worries for later I guess. I hope it is something good.', I thought.

Then we grouped up with Bete and Riveria, while I borrowed some clothes from Bete. He gave them to me while saying something about me being weak. But I ignored it as I knew I couldn't beat him yet. And I believed he was just an idiot. So I shouldn´t pay more attention to him.

They eventually reached Loki's room again. Where she immediately started yelling to me that I should be more careful. I knew that she was worried about me from what Ais said. But to actually see it, was something else. I slowly started to feel my heart beating a little faster but I didn't show it on the outside. Next Loki asked for me to take off the shirt that I borrowed from Bete, so she could check my falna. I complied and I immediately heard her muttering something... 'Monster....'.

She started yelling to me about what happened to me for my stats to rise so much and what my new abilities were. Riveria was also interested in that part as she had never heard of something called Hell Flame magic.

So then I had to explain for another hour what I did and what my skills were while Riveria and Loki kept glancing at me with a shocked look on their faces.

After a while Loki snapped out of her shock and said to me: 'Next time be more careful, having a mind down (Mp=0) is extremely dangerous and definitely in the dungeon.'

´But it happened, and you are still alive. So I´ll just let it go. You still have to pay more attention in the future though. I also heard you didn't have a place to sleep in Orario. So I´ll arrange for you to have a room in this building if you want.´ Loki said.

´Thank you, and yes I would appreciate that.´, I responded with a small smile, that didn´t go unnoticed by Loki.
