Hell's Insanity

"For it was told by the old books, where angels and demons collide" "When gods shall stretch their rule and dominion" "Ye have not be forgotten" "For men shall covet power". ........................................................................... In the year 3040 Earth has reached its limits, its resources depleted, its ecosystem destroyed, and even humanity hangs on its last rope due to its severe overpopulation. Conquering space was our only hope, but the help of several talented scientists in their various fields coming together made such a dream a possibility. Unfortunately, in the year 3045, an earthquake on a global scale sent every human on earth into a frenzy. At that point, a voice was heard by everyone, as a template hung in the sky. A question with two choices, an answer that decided one's destiny from that day onward. But unfortunately, not everyone picked the right choice. Elijah kingsman was a 19 years old university freshman, who had just escaped the horrors of world war 3 and couldn't have picked a better day to make the worst decision of his life. In his judgement, his very being was sent to limbo by an undead giant. There he meets an imp far different from his average fantasy personage. Coerced to make a deal, Elijah made a deal that would change his life forever. ............................................................................... “Don’t worry boy” “It seems I haven’t introduced myself,” the imp said widening the smile on its face. “I am Deltrich, ‘he who bears the Principality of knowledge’” Elijah wasn’t sure if he saw a ray of light coming from Deltrich. But he was sure of one thing, that this was no ordinary imp. Deltrich who was already done with his introduction, saw Elijah looking at him in awe, and puffed his chest up in pride. “I am sure there’s nothing you have that I want and nothing you can give that I desire”. Deltrich said choosing to break the atmosphere. “In other words, a deal which I’m sure would be satisfying to both parties” Elijah who wasn’t used to this type of situation scrunched his face up in frustration. He knew Deltrich,’ the Imp’ wasn’t his usual fantasy personage, so he decided to keep his mouth shut and listen to what Deltrich had to say. “In return, you shall ask me anything you want and I shall offer if it’s beneath my power”. ......................................................................... Demonic abominations

But now his plan had changed, the sleipher right ahead of him was alone, not surrounded by any other demonic beast, and right below its feet's was a plant he could use to fully heal his legs. Right now he was only capable of fighting an enemy in close combat that was why he needed to sneak behind it so that he could catch the demonic beast off guard.

Waiting for some few minutes more, Elijah finally made his move, as he struck down on the back of the sleipher, hitting its vital area around the back of its nape using formless palms technique, his hands were covered in a fog-like white smoke. And these characteristics only appeared when he achieved an intermediate level mastery.

Striking its nap again, Elijah manage to release 4 consecutive blows in one strike, as the fog-like smoke produced by mana made it difficult to see the movement of his hands, as the smoke followed his hand whenever it moved.

Staring at the demonic beast that seemed about 500kg, although its other half does look like a zebra, Elijah couldn't be sure, as some animals had already gone extinct.

And Elijah who had only seen the picture of such an animal left him with little to no imagination.

Continuously releasing each strike as soon as the last one ended, Elijah managed to seriously injure the demonic beast only by using his hands which could cut through steel at this point, 'heck' he was sure that his hands were already much stronger than diamonds, coupled with his brutality left no space for the sleipher to understand what had happened before it received a fatal injuring.

Thud!

Hitting the area below its neck, Elijah managed to pierce through its thick fur, the sleipher didn't even have the time to react before it felt something piercing through its insides as its body turned cold.

The sleipher was a tier 4 primitive blood demonic beast possessing an average body strength of about 6,480 kg, possessing no bloodline trait or even an elemental affinity as its only able to defend itself were the identifiable claws and sharp wide teeth it possessed.

And why Elijah seemed very much confident in his ability to take down this demonic beast was he because he too wasn't an ordinary ascendant, as a tier 4 lesser devil ascendant only had their body strength increased to 4,400 g.

But even he wasn't exempted from such rule, as it seemed both devils, humans, and other humanoid existence gained the same increase in strength every rank. The only difference being an individual magicraft, talent, bloodline or an elemental affinity.

He didn't know why it was such, and that surprised him, as he had expected the answers to pop into his brain after some seconds.

It made him doubt if Deltrich was the 'Principality of knowledge' as he claimed since such occurrence had been happening lately, although not frequently.

Nevertheless, the fact remains that he is trapped in the underworld, with gods and other supernatural entities outside of it.

Collapsing to the ground with a thud, Elijah heavily took in a breath of fresh air as he carefully pluck the last ingredient, heading back to the campsite as he prepared to finally get rid of his injury.

His strength had carried a force of about 6,600 kg. The intermediate level of the formless palms technique increases his arm strength to about 50 per cent when it's been used, which was quite incredible because if others were to acquire such strength, it would either be because of their bloodline, artefacts or pieces of equipment, magicraft or needing one to possess all of them at once to acquire such increase in strength which was far from their respective tiers.

As he bent down, his eyes quickly focused as his body tensed, suddenly he moved to leap backwards.

Snap!

Another pair of claws missed him, pouncing on the already dead sleipher.

A 6th tier primitive red jaguar!

Elijah, who had managed to dodge the fatal sneak attack with the help of his already new enhanced senses and reflexes, quickly turned around with a grave expression.

The primitive red jaguar was already much larger than the demonic beast laying on the ground. Measuring at a height of 1 meter tall, with its horrifying sharp fangs that was currently tearing down on the carapaces of the already dead sleipher.

Aw shit!

Although he already knew this, he still found it hard to believe, but why do every demonic beast he encountered have to be 2 or 3 times larger than their counterparts on earth, and each and everyone looked like they had escaped from Frankenstein's lab, especially those that bore a similar resemblance to them, and still have the speed to outrun an 850 GTO Ferrari.

Of course, it was absurd!!!

But he was currently trapped in the underworld with no way out. Although after checking through every crook and nook of the golden book in his possession, he didn't even manage to find a single way out. Even if there were one, he was sure that Deltrich must have surely gotten rid of it, so that he wouldn't go back on the deal.

But Elijah wouldn't have gone back on the deal nonetheless considering he made a deal boss-like mystical imp, and considering the skeleton-like giant that sent him there, Elijah wouldn't even want to void the deal, even if he wanted to.

Looking at the 6th tier primitive red jaguar that was currently making a feast of the dead sleipher, he quickly managed to find an escape route as he had already gotten what he came for.

Although he wanted to see if he could take down the 6th tier demonic beast, considering he practised a 'godly scripture' but did not currently know the limit of what he could handle. Elijah immediately choose to forgo that thought as he was currently trapped in a forest, barely fighting for survival, with little to no equipment that would help him hunt, making it a very stupid idea.
