Be safe

After the incident a few weeks ago between Harumi and Nobunaga every interaction became weird. They didn't do other things than normal. Play some strategy games, work along side each other, share meals, take walks and sleep in the same bed. Still, everything felt different. Nobunaga was very careful to never touch her anymore. Harumi wanted to hit her head agains a wall. This wasn't what she wanted! She didn't mind Nobunaga taking her hand while walking, or sometimes even feeding her with his chopsticks. She just didn't want things to get complicated between them. But that was exactly what had happened. She just wanted things to get back as they were. Mindless she stared at the board of chess before her, not really paying attention to it when a though came to her.

"You haven't checked out the village in a while. Maybe we can go undercover somewhere in the upcoming days and go to the village." Harumi said hopeful.

"I wish we could." Nobunaga sighted while he waited for his wife to make her next move. "I could probably go with some disguise, but all the villagers know your beautiful face fare to well. It would cause mayhem." He finished apologetically.

"My face isn't that beautiful." Harumi said with a slight blush on her cheeks.

"You have the most beautiful face in this century, everyone that has once laid eyes on you would never forget the beauty that is you." Nobunaga said. Harumi stared at him while the small blush on her cheeks spread out over her whole face and turned a deep shade of red.

"Funny..." She said while trying to hide her beetroot red face.

"I'm serious!" Nobunaga said sore. Harumi was taken aback by his blunt statement what coused her face to only deepen in the red colour.

"You're so cute when you're bashful!" Nobunaga laughed while her face turned into a deep red colour.

"Very funny, mister funny man." Harumi said. She pulled the cushion from under her and trew it at his face.

"So that's how you want to play?" Nobunaga asked with lights of joy in his eyes. He threw the cushion back at her, hitting her in the face and messing up her hair in the process.

"You're dead!" Harumi smiled while grabbing the cushion. They completely forgot about their game of chess while Harumi quickly ran around the table and hit him against the shoulder with the cushion. Nobunaga took his own cushion and started a counter attack, hitting her with his own cushion, making sure to not use too much force.

They ran trough Harumi's quarters, chasing each other with their cushions, alternating in attacking each other. When they were running around and Nobunaga hit Harumi with his cushion using a bit to much force by accident, Harumi lost her footing. In her fall she grabbed Nobunaga and took him with her in her fall. She landed on the hard tatami mats while Nobunaga's fall was broken by her body. Harumi couldn't help but cry for all the laughing.

"Are you okay?" Nobunaga asked worried. Harumi opened her eyes and saw Nobunaga's concerned face hovering over her. His long hair enclosing them in their own little world. The only thing that she wanted to do at that moment was to kiss the crap out of him. How could he be this beautiful she asked herself. She whit stood the urge to grab his face and pull him even closer to her. Instead she just nodded. Now the first shock was over Nobunaga remembered in what kind of position they were in. Now was it his turn for his face to turn in a deep maroon red colour.

"Sorry." He stammered. He wanted to stand up but Harumi carefully got hold of his shoulder, signaling him to stay.

"Look, I don't want to begin by square one, I just want things to stay the same." She said while looking at him.

"Okay, I understand." Nobunaga said while a small smile came to his face.

"You are way to beautiful for your own good." Harumi sighted while she put a strand of his hair behind his ear so she had a better view of the perfect facial features of her husband. After a while they detangled from each other and sat next to one and other. Harumi looked out of the window to the garden while she could feel the body heat of Nobunaga against her arm. The trees slowly began to change colors and eventually loose their leaves. Harumi got here some were in the spring. Now that is turned to autumn ment that she had been in the past for half a year. She had no idea how she would ever be able to continue her life once she got back to her own time. She already had missed so much. She had as of now no leads on how to get back to the future. It could take years before she would wind her way back. She could be in her twenties when she got back, and then still had to attend high school...

"I have to go soon..." Nobunaga said what made Harumi snap out of her own mind.

"Where do you have to go to?" She asked while still looking at the garden.

"I have to go to Honno-ji." Nobunaga sighted.

"What for?" Harumi asked anxiously.

"There will be another war coming soon. I have to go and meet with some other clans." He explained.

"Whatever you do, stay safe." Harumi whispered while she let her head rest on his broad shoulder.

"Always, I promise I'll come back in once piece." Nobunaga assured her. Harumi had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach, but she couldn't really place the feeling. She could have sworn that she had heard the name of that castle before, but she had no idea from were. She had probably heard some of the officials talking about it or something...
