a new arrangement

Harumi held a cold cloth to her forehead where she head butted Gehin. She felt kinda dizzy but that was probably more due to the sudden adrenaline rush. Her maids kept themselves buzzy with cleaning up and doing other chores. They were probably more upset that Harumi herself. Although she had some scratched and stuff, she had clearly won.

"Lord Nobunaga-sama!" Her maids suddenly said. Harumi turned around and saw Oda Nobunaga standing in the entryway. Her maids made deep bows while Nobunaga slowly entered te room. She hadn't even thought about this! Gehin was Nobunaga's mistress and he would probably be pretty pissed since she kicked her ass.

"Let me see your face." He ordered while he sat next to her on a pillow. Scared she removed the cold cloth and stared at the table. He could kill her for this.

"Would you like some tea?" Masa-kun asked. Nobunaga nodded his head while he still watched Harumi's face. Lin-chan quickly poured two cups of tea and after all the maids left.

"Does it hurt?" Was the first thing he asked when her three maids were gone.

"A bit, my face is a little numb from the cold cloth." Harumi answered quickly. In the corner of her eye she saw Nobunaga's hand move. He was definitely going to hit her. She closed her eyes in anticipation of the hit. But it never came. Instead Nobunaga cupped her cheek with the cuts carefully. His had was rough and she could feel the callus of his fingertips on her soft cheek. He was very gentle while he inspected her wounds up close.

"I'm sorry." He said eventually after a long sigh. Harumi gave him a puzzled look. It wasn't his fault that she was attacked.

"I'm very buzzy and I clearly haven't given you enough attention." He continued. Harumi's eyes almost popped out of her head. Was he for real?

"Well, that wasn't really the issue..." She began but was cut off by Nobunaga.

"I con't drop everything and be by your side every hour of the day, but from now on I will spent one evening and night with you every week." He said.

"You don't have to do that..." Harumi said carefully. She was happy that he wasn't mad at her, but he could quickly become mad at her if she said the wrong thing now.

"She started it because she was unhappy of her situation...." Harumi tried to explain.

"You don't have to make excuses. I know you missed me and I will give you more attention." He continued as if he didn't even heard Harumi.

"Look, I know I damaged your toy, but that doesn't meen I will replace her!" Harumi said while anger began to take over again. Nobunaga looked at her for a second with a baffled look on his face.

"My toy?" He asked.

"Yeah, everybody knows she hasn't left your quarters because she is to exhausted to walk." Harumi almost yelled at him. Nobunaga looked at her for a second and then began to lough.

"And if you think you can do anything to me after you done those things with that whore, you are wrong. I don't want any nasty diseases." Harumi continued while Nobunaga still was trying to contain his laughter.

"Well, I haven't touched her with even one finger. I allowed her to stay at the castle because she was a gift, and apparently she had no where else to go but that was it." He explained. "Besides, that type of woman isn't even my type."

"Year right, as if you have a type." Harumi said mockingly. "Do you draw the line at no pulse?"

"actually I enjoy the hunt. I want to work for a lady. Someone with a good head on her shoulders." He explained while he shimmied closer to her. Was he putting the moves on her?

"Yeah, real funny." Harumi said while she pushed him back in his seat. She knew how he thought about her and she knew he wouldn't try to bed her, he was very clear about that.

"Nohime! I just heard, are you alright?" Hidemasa yelled while he barged in the room. He was startled to see Nobunaga in his wife's quarters and came to a screeching halt. Nobunaga was as surprised as Hidemasa to see another man enter these quarters. It wasn't forbidden or anything but it wasn't exactly normal. He felt a weird feeling in his stomach by seeing the concerned look on the face of one of his warlords. Why was he so concerned about his wife?

"Nobunaga-sama, what a suprise to run into you here." Hidemasa said quickly while making a bow.

"He just came to check up on me." Harumi said before Nobunaga could say anything.

"Are you okay?" Hidemasa asked her with a concerned look on his face.

"You should've seen the other one." Harumi joked. Midemasa's concerned look made way for his normal easy going smile.

"Since you are buzzy here..." Hidemasa began to excuse himself.

"Nonsense, join us." Harumi said in a stern voice.

Hidemasa sat down some what awkwardly across from Harumi and Nobunaga. Harumi called for her maids who brought her new guest some tea and left again.

"So what is this?" Nobunaga asked after the maids left. Harumi could clearly hear the anger in his voice.

"Lord Nobunaga-sama, I would never betray you or do anything indecent." Hidemasa spoke immediately.

"We are just friends." Harumi said in a bored tone.

"And what do you normally talk about?" Nobunaga grilled them.

"Well, normally he just comes and whines about that the other warlords don't have fate in him and we study war books." Harumi answered.

"And why should I believe this?" Nobunaga asked still angry.

"Because it is the truth!" Hidemasa squealed. Without giving an answer Nobunaga called for Harumi's maids to bring them some writing tools.

"If it is true what you say, you two can easily decide what the best course of action is in this type of offense from the enemy." He said eventually while he pushed two pieces of paper to Hidemasa and Harumi. Harumi looked at the thing Nobunaga had drawn on the paper. It was a very good and intricate battle plan. She grabbed a brush and began to add the defense while Hidemasa did the same on his paper. Harumi didn't have the feeling as if she had to prove to be innocent but instead was given a test about a subject she liked. The way she looked at it, there was a lot of mathematics someone would need to come up with a good battle plan.

I'm sorry for this boring chapter, but I felt that is was necessary as some sort of transition chapter. There will be even more drama in the near future!
