The academy of eclipse

Raena stood up and slung her bag over her back after they finished eating.

"Are you ready?" Akaz asked.

"I am," She responded as he lifted his right arm, and a purple marking appeared beneath their feet, which she stared at.

"Aren't you going to show her how to use the portal herself?" The butler asked and Akaz sighed.

"I will just take her today, I will show her how to use the portal later, damn," He responded and the butler exhaled deeply.

"Fine, Raena, be careful, and I hope you have a good day even if everything is happening so quickly," The butler said and she smiled.

"Thank you," She replied as Akaz's eyes started glowing blue and they disappeared.

A few minutes later, they appeared before a bridge, and Raena gasped as she looked at the massive castle-like structure that took up most of the landscape in front of her. It was surrounded by beautiful trees of different kinds and mountains.

"It's huge," She said as she saw demons flying in the air before landing and she clenched her fist and he glanced at her then smiled.

"Are you nervous?" He asked.

"Nope, not at all, I am completely fine," She responded and he chuckled.

"Well, just in case, I will tell you that it will be just fine," He said with a smile, and she took a deep breath.

"Oh, today is the first day, you get to check out the academy and so on, and tomorrow or the day after, whenever they are ready, you guys will be assigned classes, and you are a third-year now starting and since they are also having the entrance ceremony, you have to go as well, it's in the auditorium," He said as she looked at him.

"I understand, I will go straight there, also do they usually take that long?" She asked and he nodded.

"Don't worry the most they will take is a week and a few more days, there are a lot of kids so it doesn't matter, you will still be learning, it might finish sooner, depends, go on, another thing, the first couple of tests will be easy just focus and gain a rank," He responded.

"All right, I guess, I will go ahead, see you later," She said.

"See you later, be careful," He replied as she walked away, then he disappeared as the guards at the gate stopped her and she looked at them.

"Are you new around here?" She swallowed when one of them asked.

"Yes, today is my first day, I am starting as a third year," She responded.

"I see, head to the auditorium for the entrance ceremony, it's in the second half of the building, each part of the buildings are marked so you won't get lost," The guard said.

"Thank you," She replied.

"No problem, go on," He said and she sighed as she followed his direction to the auditorium, where she ran into a variety of beings.

After entering the auditorium, Raena couldn't help but stare at the various types of students, and she sighed when she noticed that among those wearing the academy's normal uniform, there were others dressed more like royalty.

'I should be careful, really careful,' Raena thought as someone bumped into her and she tripped and nearly fell, but two vines wrapped around her hand from behind her and she looked at them.

"Sorry," Someone said, and she noticed a girl standing beside her before the vines raised her up to stand properly and vanished.

"There's no need to apologize, I was in the way, I'm sorry and thank you," Raena replied, and the girl chuckled.

"I bumped into you, come on we need to take our seats before the teachers get angry at us, that's not a sight you want to see, newbie," She said as she walked away and Nessa went and took a seat beside a few demons who looked at her and she looked right back at them before they smiled.

Raena was surrounded that day by creatures she had only read about in fantasy books and had no idea were real, but she now knew that in the new world, anything was possible due to magic.

While looking around, Raena noticed the girl who had bumped into her sitting across from her smiling, and she smiled back at her before the teachers took the stage.

"Be quiet, everyone, and good morning," A man said as he stood near the microphone, and the students immediately fell silent, and he sighed.

"Welcome back to another year at the academy, and to those who are new here, welcome to the academy of Eclipse, I hope you enjoy your time here and learn what you came to, for those of you who don't know how things work around here, we are going to explain it so sit back and please listen," He said before moving away from the mic, and a woman approached the mic and smiled.

"Good morning, welcome; now we will explain how you will be placed in classes; for some, it will not be based on your age but talent and for the majority, it will be based on your age and ability since a lot of you are different and takes time to grow, along with your ranks," She said.

"Once your ranks go up, you will have special access to the type of things within that rank and you will be learning a lot more," she explained. "If you don't want to get stuck right where you are now, I hope you work hard enough to move up, the rest will be explained later on to you in classes or you can ask around, take an interest, that's all for now."

"Now a third year will be addressing the new students, after which we will sign off and you can all go about your day, we all have a lot to do starting from today, I wish you all the best of luck and we will see how much you can rise," A young man said softly as one of the students among them stood up and went to the stage, where the young man handed him the microphone and he began talking about the many benefits one gets from joining the academy along with why it was the best place for them to learn and much more.
