A Reunion of Relatives
Sometime later, Cimon and Achlys eventually joined them at the table, and Blake told them what happened after they were knocked out during the fight with the Chaos Hounds and the Sphinx, how his own shadow seemed to protect him and how he was able to extract the shadow of the Chaos Sphinx to beat the beast.
Suffice to say, they were all shocked. Both Achlys and Cimon were surprised and genuinely proud that their efforts to get Blake to safety weren't in vain. While Celeste and Peter had never heard of such an ability; they were genuinely curious to see it in action.
The four of them eyed Eclipse, whose ears twitched, as she paused her assault on Blake's breakfast, and looked up at the eyes back staring at her. She released a questioning Mrow, before continuing her assault on Blake's plate. She was initially curious why they were watching her, but she was more hungry than she was curious, so things checked out.
