Shower

Helena intended to help her mother, so she quickly prepared the clothes they would wear to sleep: a white pajama for her mother, a purple one for herself, and a blue one for her beloved younger sibling. Each had their favorite color.

Maia grabbed the bag containing bathing essentials from the suitcase: shower gel, shampoo, toothpaste, and toothbrush. Everything was neatly packed, leaving nothing behind. Maia, indeed, was a perfect mother and wife.

Turning around, Maia glanced at the bathroom. Her right hand held the bag containing their bathing essentials, which she had prepared for herself and her two children. She then walked towards the bathroom at the far end of the room and turned on its light.

Maia's eyes widened in surprise and excitement. "Wow, this bathroom is incredibly beautiful! Whoever designed this room did an outstanding job." Her lips couldn't stop praising the beauty of the entire room, including the bathroom.

The room intentionally remained unchanged. All the interior items have remained the same since the building was erected, and the arrangement has stayed identical from the 18th century to the present. It seemed only the bed had been replaced with a modern mattress.

"I'll shower, Mom," Helena complained, eager to wash away the sweat and dirt accumulated from the day's activities. "I'll just use the shower."

Helena turned on the shower, letting the warm water cascade over her hair and body. She applied her favorite blueberry-scented shower gel all over her skin, cleansing every inch that had sweated and collected dust. Then she rinsed off under the warm water.

Meanwhile, Maia turned on the bathroom tap and filled the bathtub for a soak. It was filled with warm water, and she added a few drops of therapeutic-scented soap for her bath. The fragrance was distinctly Lilac, Maia's favorite scent.

Maia immersed herself in the bathtub. Her body was tired after a day of driving and shopping around Tijuana Mall. She wasn't young anymore; her forty years had caught up with her. However, her face remained remarkably beautiful and radiated an aura that could captivate any man.

Helena finished her shower, feeling refreshed. "It feels so good," she said, drying herself off with a towel before quickly putting on the purple pajamas she had prepared earlier. Helena left the bathroom and returned to the room.

Helena climbed onto the classic wooden bed, which was coated in dark brown and adorned with wood carvings. The bed was covered with clean white sheets. The canopy's support poles were also made of teak wood and painted in the same dark brown color. The canopy itself was white, giving the room a classic film-like atmosphere.

"This bed is so comfy," she said, sinking into the soft mattress. Helena was very sleepy, and the plush bed felt like a magnet, making her reluctant to leave. She pulled the white blanket up to her neck; she was shivering from the cold after her shower.

"Yawn... I can't keep my eyes open anymore," she murmured, yawning and adjusting her sleeping position.

Hector was still busy spending his night photographing every object in the bedroom. He had forgotten about his plan to shower and was engrossed in capturing various objects around the room. Hector seemed tireless, continuously selecting objects to photograph.

"Hector, hurry up and shower! It's already morning. When do you plan to shower?" Helena reminded him, annoyed that he had lost track of time.

Hector suddenly looked at the blue watch on his wrist, which showed half past twelve. He glanced at the watch repeatedly, squinting as if not believing that it was already half past twelve.

He slapped his forehead, "Oh no, I forgot to shower, sis! Why didn't you remind me earlier?" he regretted his oversight, blaming Helena for not reminding him to shower promptly.

Feeling tired, Helena ignored her brother's question and pulled her blanket up to her neck, ready to sleep. "My eyes are so heavy," she complained, closing her eyes and drifting off to sleep.

Helena silently prayed for protection from God for herself and her family during their sleep, hoping to wake up tomorrow healthy and lacking nothing.

After praying, Helena immediately fell asleep, sinking into the thick blanket on the bed. Meanwhile, Maia had finished bathing and cleaning herself. She put on the white pajamas prepared by Helena and then headed to bed.

Maia walked to the table in front of the TV and grabbed a bottle of mineral water provided by the hotel in each room. She was very thirsty and drank several gulps of the bottled water.

Feeling relieved, she watched TV while waiting for her son to finish showering.
