Danger!

Back in the Academy secret space, in another area of the forest.

Ha! A beautiful woman just slew one of the enemy monsters with one blow, cleaving it in half.

"Your getting better, but- you're still too soft. They are not humans, they are monsters and if they keep roaming around, more and more people will die." Close to her, is a handsome young man. He had just killed a few of the enemy creatures and was drawing back his sword from the corpse.

"I know, Julian. But I just can't get used to it." The woman pouted before a solemn, almost sad look could be seen on her beautiful face.

These two are the Princess, Lina, and her fiancee Julian. When the attack happened and they saw a bunch of the participants was being sent out more than usual. They quickly hurried to try and save as much as they could. Upon entering the secret space, they saw a group of youngsters that was under attack and they rushed to save them. Since then, they have rushed to save as many as they could find while killing all the enemy creatures they could find.

"You don't have to. I'm here remember? If you can't bare the thought of killing by yourself then let me do it. I'll be your sword."

Julian was well aware of the Princess's weakness but it is also her charm. She was a nice and gentle woman, he had long accepted this over the course of their relationship. He said those words without facing her or doing any romantic gestures. He didn't need to, all he wants is for Lina to know that he will continue to be there for her as her knight but more importantly as her lover.

Such a peaceful and tender moment didn't last long as Julian sensed a few more other creatures approaching them.

"Get ready! more are coming!" He said and he quickly jumped towards Lina, assuring her safety.

And soon enough, around 12 enemy creatures arrived and circled them.

Julian had his long sword in his right hand, pointed towards the beasts, and on his left was a dagger. His energy essence was circulating around his body, ready to explode forth. Behind him, Lina had her sword pointed down but that didn't mean she was ready. On the contrary, she was deliberately showing weakness but she was always poised to strike.

But the battle that they were preparing themselves for didn't happen. Before the enemy creatures could even begin to attack, they seemed to be reacting to something and they quickly turned around. They rushed to a certain location but behind them, Princess Lina and Julian were following them.

"Let's do this, attack!" A young man shouted and he swung down his sword, cutting the enemy creature on the neck.

"Ah! Take this!"

"Die! you beasts!"

The other four young men beside him followed and attacked with their weapons. After killing the beasts in front of them, their leader, the young man who first spoke shouted.

"Hold! Stella attack!" Yes, this young man was Julius.

"O-okay, take this!" The young woman, Stella trembled, surprised by Julius' command.

She held her hands high and from them, the natural essence of the world converged and with her own energy essence, she formed a small tornado right above her. She put down her hands and with it the tornado that she conjured up followed. Ravaging the ground and the enemy creatures that is passed by.

Beside her, there were two girls and one boy who also used long ranged attacks. Some had used fireballs, boulders, and conjured upwind blades. Like this, they lessened the enemies that were approaching them and gave Julius and the others some breathing room.

Around fifty to a hundred meters away from them, a pair of blood-soaked young men and an ethereal beauty were constantly killing one enemy after another. It seemed magical with how they synchronized with the other's movement, not needing to talk like they knew what the other was thinking about.

The young man fought with brute force, using his fist that exploded with black lightning. The woman beside him jumped, moved, and killed with grace, like a fairy dancing under the moonlight.

Scattered around the battlefield were the corpses of the numerous enemy creatures that they've fought.

"Hu...damn...it's been a while since I moved like that. Well, that was fun." After settling everything, Samael fell on his ass, heavily breathing but he still laughed.

The woman beside him, Silvia turned towards him and lightly smiled before frowning, covering her nose and she said "Mnm, you should...take a bath. you stink."

Hearing this, Samael was stunned and then laughed.

"Why are you laughing?" Silvia saw him laughing and thought that this was weird.

"Well, I never thought that you would be this...this friendly," Samael said while standing up.

Silvia frowned, she felt offended "What do you mean by this?"

Samael saw the change in her attitude and he immediately said "Wait, wait. I mean no disrespect by what I said. When we first encountered you, killing that enemy creature. You looked so detached and in a way, otherworldly. Like you would see us all beneath you but now that I actually had the chance to talk with you like this, I now know that I was wrong. Forgive me."

He didn't know why but when he saw her displeasure some inexplicable thing urged him to quickly explain and pacify her mood. He took a look at the woman, wanting to see her reaction and then he was stunned.

Silvia giggled, one hand covering her mouth but you can still see her eyelids closed to a moon-like shape. Her beauty, aura, and that melodious laughter made it seem that it would be a sin if someone were to touch her.

Then she walked past him with her hands on her back but she still had that smile on her face. She stopped three steps after walking past him, she said.

"It's not surprising that you would find me like that. I was a sheltered girl and didn't know much about how people my age interact, I've never gone to any of the empire's gatherings when I was young. All this because I was afraid of how people would see me, till this day I still am."

Samael was surprised when Silvia suddenly began to talk about herself, feelings of joy welled up inside him and then he thought to himself it's the perfect chance for him to get close to her.

"Then why the cold attitude?" He asked

"Oh, that? I don't remember when I first started doing that but whenever I meet new people I always tense up and...as you now know, results in the cold "me" that people know." She explains.

When Samael heard this he couldn't hold his laughter in "Hahahaha...so, the famous 'Ice princess' of the empire is actually just a shy girl."

Hearing this, Silvia was still displeased even if he is just teasing her and she pouted, crossed her arms then walked away.

Samael was still happy that they got to talk like that, he shook his head and then began to walk towards a nearby tree to clean up and change.

But all of a sudden, his eyes widened as he felt an incredible danger approaching with a speed, faster than any of the enemy creatures they have encountered. He quickly turned around and saw that Silvia have also sensed this new enemy and had her hand on her sword.

From the bushes on their left, a shadow suddenly emerged and rushed towards Silvia. She and Samael saw this creature. She wanted to dodge but found that her speed is severely outclassed by this mysterious enemy.

Everything seemed to have slowed down, Samael saw the shadow quickly approaching Silvia. Its speed was faster than both of them. He knew that he wouldn't be able to save her in time and she was a lot slower than the opponent. But he had to somehow buy her some time to get back to him.

I'm not gonna make it!

He was already in a running position to try and save Silvia but he knew he wouldn't make it, he had his left hand stretched outward. Both of his elemental energy were surging. Ice formed, covering parts of his body, and Black Lightning coiled around his body.
