Cutting off the head of a snake beast that was trying to bite him, Ray turns around while moving to the side after which a snake beast flew past him while colliding with another snake.

" Is there no end to all this attack?" said Ray while fending off a snake beast.

Who knows maybe we are in their territory" replied Ellis while keeping a core of a snake beast that he just slayed.

" Then what are we waiting," said Ray kicking a snake beast that was trying to attack him before dashing forward towards the dry part of the swamp.

" Wait for me you" replied Ellis before also dashing towards the dry part of the swamp.

Trying to get to the other part of the swamp was not an easy task due to the number of snake beasts that are in their way but eventually, they were able to get to the other side of the swamp.

" That should put an end to all those snake attacks," said Ray with a sigh of relief.

" Got that right — replied Ellis, but before he could complete his statement a spear was thrown toward him only to Pierce the ground that is an inch from where he stood.

" Hey, Ellis are you alright," asked Ray in fright while running back to Ellis.

" Yeah, am fine" replied Ellis while shaking himself back.

" What just happened," asked Ray while looking at the spear.

" I don't know, I just saw the spear heading my way a minute ago" replied Ellis.

Looking at the angle where the spear came from, they saw a green humanoid scaled beast with a snake tail wiggling towards them.

" the System inspects that beast that's heading our way," said Ray to the system, and it didn't take long before details about the beast that's heading their way.

When Ray saw that the beast that is heading their way is the ruler of the snake beasts, he couldn't help but shiver before the turn to look at Ellis to suggest they run for their dear life only to see that Ellis has already begun to run away.

" Run Ray, there is no way we'll be able to beat that beat," said Ellis while running.

" That was supposed to be my line you Ellis and look how a loyal friend you are, just the sight of that beast you decided to run away before giving me a hint" replied Ray helplessly.

" That's because I knew you're going to try and provoke it, so I have to think of my safety first," said Ellis not daring to look back.

Seeing that the humans are trying to run away, the snake king began to summon his tribe members while ordering them to go after them before thrusting another spear which they easily dodge by both Ellis and Ray.

Looking at their behind to see if the snake king has stopped the chase, Ray was surprised to see that the snake beasts were also giving chase.

" I can't believe we step into the snake tribe horde," said the frustrated Ellis.

" Is this what your problem area, then am sorry to disappoint you for the other snake beast has also just the chase" replied Ray.

"That reminds me, while don't you use that explosive technique of yours to buy some time to get as far as possible from them," said Ellis.

Oh my gosh, I forgot about that" replied Ray before turning back to face the beasts while Ellis continues to run ahead.

Holding his blades tightly in his hands, began to channel the energy inside him and before long the blades began to glow like the lave. Taking a deep breath, Ray swings the blades toward the direction of the beast and before the beast could understand what was happening they heard the human screaming.

And in the next minute, there was already an explosion going in and a lot of snake beasts was caught in the fire which sent them on fire while killing the weaker ones. Keeping his blades in the scabbard, while ignore to end those of the beast that was still alive in the fire, Ray turns around and began to run.

Catching up to Ellis, Ray smiled before saying.

" Yeah it won't be in our favor to fight Jerald if we were to battle it out with the snake king," said Ray in all seriousness.

" And who told you that we'll be able to fare well against that beast," asked Ellis in annoyance at how Ray always feels like the beast is just a mere snake.

" Yo-" before he could complete his word a spear was shooting towards him only for Ray to took out his blades and place them in front of his chest where the spear will be hitting. Being able to stop the attack after being pushed by the power of the spear twelves steps back.

" Huh that was a close one," said Ray before taking his stance and preparing for a showdown.

" Are you crazy, trying to fight with that beast will only cost you nothing more than your life" replied Ellis seeing that Ray was no longer running for his life.

" We have to fight Ellis the more we run, the more it will be able to hit us on our weak spot," said Ray.

" Just run you, I don't believe it will chase us all the way replied Ellis while running.

Deciding to listen to Ellis's word, Ray kept his blade on his scabbard before pushing his feet against the floor to busted himself forward catching up to Ellis once again.
