Subsequently wandering for an hour or so I started feeling the spiritual energy in the environment becoming dense. Still confused about the situation I decided to asked the system to see if he has a clue on the reason why the spiritual energy here is denser.

" System do you know why the spiritual energy here is different from the other areas"

" It may because either there is an active portal here or a heavenly herb is nearby"

If it is a portal out of this mountain then it will be a lot better.

Hoping that it is the latter, I hurried my way down but only to be obstructed by so bunch of weak undead creatures who just loves getting slaughtered.

With a new goal set in mind, I decided to not pay these weaklings attention and created a path with the swing of my blade and dash out of their encirclement and continue heading down the path and the more I continue going down the mountain, my encounter with the undead creatures was becoming something else. At first, they come in a group of four but the more I head down the mountain the more frequent they appear and they no longer in a group like I just bashed into their home.

This is beyond my ability, left with no choice but to run for it, And it became tiring just being chased by undead horde but it all came to an end when I enter a new environment that brim with life force. The horde of undead just coward away like there is an existence in the surrounding they don't want to offend and they turn around and just walk away in fear.

After taking some time to catch my breath from the long chase, I started observing my area to see if there is any abnormal movement within the surrounding only to see a portal like a thing that keeps on absorbing energy in the surrounding. Having notified the cause of the intensity of spiritual energy was derived from my trip out of the mountain, without even taking another look around to see if there is another presence lingering and driven by the excitement I started running straight for the portal and only when I was 5miles from getting to my destination, that was when I received the notification of annoyance.

What the hell is this, an Elementalist how am I supposed to fight against that? Not only are you making it difficult for me, but you are also actually making it an obstacle that must be overcome.

Now am beginning to wonder if you care about my survival in this world.

Anyway, leaving this place was my motive, to begin with.

Left with no choice I decided to fight it out with the damn Beast taking the blade from its scabbard, and with my increase in speed and strength I was a little confident in myself and if worst comes to worst I will just take some potion to let see who is going to get tired first. Taking another look at the beast to see its appearance clearly because when I got the notification from the system I have not seen the beast. But taking a closer look at it I realized it would have been better to battle it out with the undead warriors than even offending this beast that is standing not far from me and if it wants to launch an attack, it will only take just a step to get to me.

Indeed, looking at the beast, it more direct to call it a human because it has a human figure but only has dead eyes and dresses in a gray robe and the aura that is emitting from its body also feels Nobel like that of a ruler.

" uh, hello there mighty ruler. How is it going" seeing the worried look in its eyes like am going to steal something dear to him?

"Urrrrrgh"

" No your highness, am not here to steal your treasure. Am only pass by and if you don't mind I will be taking my living now" I tried communicating with it when I saw the look in its face look ghastly like he can't hold himself back from striding me into pieces the more am still standing in its domain.

But who could have thought that walking in the direction of the portal will be my greatest mistake.

The moment I started walking toward the portal the beast makes its move, knocking me out of the path, and yeah I just said its a beast and not a ruler because there is no way a ruler could knock others the way it did so savagely to the extent of leaving its opponent in a daze.

Shaking myself from the daze, I was just preparing to dash at the beast but before I could even make my move, I heard the beast reciting some ancient incantation and while doing so I felt the ground beneath my feet shaking like it is going to give way and to my astonishment it did and what I saw made me feel a cold chill run down my spine. Hidden inside the parted ground were spike upon spike that could end my life a thousand times.
