Chapter 12: Angel's in Folktales

[Azure Kingdom, Sky castle]

Due to the reason that the twins were crying and were having a hard time to cope with with their surroundings, Asagi then issued a room for the twins as she plans to give them space and a breather to think their situation

As Michael led the way towards the situated room for the twins together with Asagi, Gabriel on the other hand left his post as he returned to scout around the kingdom himself

With that after situating the twins in their own room, both Asagi and Michael then left them behind as the former closed the room's door herself

After that she gave a hearty sigh as she turned and looked towards Michael, but before she could say anything Michael then abruptly races her to it

"They seemingly resemble you your majesty!!!"

Hearing his words Asagi was then slightly confused as she faced him and asked

"Resembling me? On what grounds if I may ask?"

At that Michael then answered

"Well to be precise... they resemble you in the past wherein you first opened your eyes to a whole new world"

"Open my eyes? Isn't that a month ago? What do you mean about that?"

"It is exactly as I said... before you started asking questions on who I am, you were always in a stagnant sleeping position and only communicating through telepathy, I even suspected that you were an artifact of some sort or even under some sleeping curse"

Hearing him Asagi then begun to simulate the scenario inside her head wherein Michael was curious on how she could communicate with her eyes closed

The more she thought about it, the more comical she could think of the situation, thus before she could laugh at that thought, she then immediately pushed them at thought aside as she glanced back towards Michael's direction

"Is that how i was supposed to be? Must be some kind of an embarrassing and mysterious moment for you doesn't it?"

"Surely that was the case" replied Michael

At that Asagi could only smile at that notion as she gave a sigh and begun walking away from the door

Of course the moment she moved Michael himself then followed suite before taking a one last glance at the door

Just like Asagi expected due to the traumatic event that the twins had undergone, both of them weren't ready for any kind of conversation, after all when your life is between life and death, then its no mystery if you would get traumatized by such an event

Such a theory or idea was further proven on earth, wherein traumatized people are always afraid whenever their most terrifying event in life was mentioned

Plus such an idea was accepted by the media themselves, thus it was further proven to a point

With that to give them time to adjust themselves Asagi then simply left them on their own as she waited till the time they were ready to open up

"Your majesty! By the way i see it... those kids were truly terrified of the sudden disaster that had befallen their own seaside town, so is it alright to just let them be?" Asked Michael as they were walking the long hallway

Hearing his question Asagi then simply continued to walk as she looked out towards the window on her right, seemingly viewing her own kingdom and the sea of clouds right before her

"Sometimes the only thing that can heal a person is time, sometimes the only person who can help you get throughout your life is yourself, and sometimes you just have give them space and let their feelings go out to relieve themselves from a traumatic event"

"....."

"There are many ways to help a person depending on the situation, but for now I think I can't assist them that much since I haven't experienced the kind of trauma they experienced... the only thing I can do is wait till they're ready"

After stating on what's on her mind Asagi then waved away without uttering a single word as she looked put towards the end of the hallway

As for Michael he just simply stole a glance towards her before shaking his head in distraught

Right after he then followed her after thinking things through for awhile

3 days has passed since that event which included the mobilization of the whole kingdom's forces

By that time span Asagi had then improved the quality of her kingdom by a lot

One of such fact was that her kingdom city territory had expanded from 500 square meters to 2000 square meters which is enough to call it a town of some sort and her kingdom's land had expanded from 1000 square meters to 4000 square meters

Due to the expanded land around her kingdom walls not only did she acquire more forest ground, but she even managed to create a huge lake sizing about 1,200 square meters in size at the east side of her kingdom

And with the system's natural habitual element, not only did the animals and monsters increased, but fishes also started to appear inside the huge and deep lake

If one were to know in this world, the reason that there are fish, animals and monsters living among the humans was all because of the mana that were producing them

Even though they can reproduce to increase their numbers, the nature also helps them increases by producing their kind through mana

In that sense the mana core of the kingdom is then supplying mana around Asagi's land and producing monsters and animals around it

As for it's citizens, that is what they are truly lacking

Aside from that Asagi also produced more defensive auto turrets around her kingdom, thus causing her to spend more credits just to expand her land

All in all due to that massive expansion, she was left to a little of about 200 credits remaining after that spendrift she had done just to improvise her ghost like kingdom with only 2 citizens enlisted (the twins)

At the moment she was sitting on her throne as she rested her head from all the stress she had accumulated and all the work she had done to expanded her land together with Michael

At that moment however Gabriel then entered the throne room in a hasty steps and said

"Your majesty! The twins... they are ready to talk to you"

Following his words, the twins then poked out their head behind the throne room's door and started staring towards Asagi's direction

After awhile Gabriel beckon for them to enter and state their business right infront of Asagi

As for the fact why the twins had called out to Gabriel to have a chance to talk to Asagi instead of going straight to the person herself, was the reason that they owe a lot towards Gabriel who protected them and brought them to such a place in the castle in the sky

For them they felt like Gabriel was their benefactor and guardian, thus such act or behavior was shown towards him

After receiving permission to come close to Asagi, the twins then came forward with their little steps as they looked up to her sitting in her throne

As for Asagi she immediately switched to her amicable smile and said

"Looks like you've got your thoughts cleared up! Did the silence and the time I provided to you enough to gather your courage and thoughts?"

Hearing her the twins then silently nodded accordingly as the girl among the twins spoke up

"Y... Y-Your majesty! My name is Anna and this is my l-little brother Lloyd"

Basing on how they spoke out or introduce themselves, Asagi then completely concluded that the twins were currently overwhelmed by her title or position

After all she is the literal ruler of this sky castle, and always being called out by the other angels as "your majesty", thus the notion that she is the ruler and royal blood could be immediately known to other people

Of course such an act of nervousness was immediately noticed by both Gabriel and Michael, but never once did they corrected the twins, thus showing respect on the resolve that the twins made just to present themselves towards Asagi

"Well nice to meet you! By the way since I'm kind, gentle, cute, and lovable you can immediately drop the honorifics and just call me Asagi or Asagi onee-sama"

"Eh?"

Hearing Asagi's reply, both the twins was immediately taken aback as they didn't expect such a reply to come from her

On the other when Asagi said all those notion towards her, both Michael and Gabriel snorted in laughter as they felt that Asagi was making herself comical

Of course Asagi naturally heard their snort, nevertheless she just showed her irritated look towards them as if stating

(What am I not kind, gentle, cute, and lovable? If you have a problem with me, step right up!!! But don't underestimate me!!! I'm a black belter in teakwood during my high school!)

As Asagi was irritated by both Michael and Gabriel's reaction, the twins however glance towards her and called out to her

"Onee-sama!"

Just like that as if some trigger inside of Asagi had been flipped, she immediately held both Anna and Lloyd close to her as she hugged them tightly like a cushion or a stuffed animal

Nevertheless she was really happy to be called onee-sama by a bunch of kids

Seeing her affectionate behavior towards the twins, Gabriel couldn't help but utter a slight bit of worry towards her actions

"Im putting all my bet that her majesty would cuddle them nonstop as if they were her precious cushion"

"If that's the case then, I'm putting mine on the fact that she always wanted to be called by that informal honorifics" said Michael as he he couldn't help but comment on Asagi's actions

While both of them were discussing on such a subject, Asagi on the other hand had already let the twins off of her grasp as the Anna spoke out

"Onee-sama! If I'm right... then your the sole ruler of this country in the sky right?"

Hearing that Asagi then simply nodded happily

"Well yes I am"

At that Anna continued

"Then does all of your soldiers that has white bird wings on their back called angels?"

"Yes they are" replied Asagi

At that notion the twins then looked at each other before Lloyd spoke up towards her

"The thing is angels are categorized by the populace as mythical creatures, fairytales, or fictional elements... and if onee-sama claims that your people are called angels, doesn't that mean they are true in the sense?"

At that Asagi firstly glanced towards both Gabriel and Michael, before looking back towards the twins as she replied

"Well if you out it that way... then we are true... I feel like I really exists and so does Michael and Gabriel, doesn't that mean that we are real?"

At that Lloyd simply nodded before glancing towards her twin sister, naturally Anna then followed up Lloyds words

"Im sorry if the question we asks are sensible onee-sama! Its just that everything happened up till now feels like a dream, especially this country among the clouds... I mean who would ever thought that such country exist in such place?"

With that Asagi simply replied

"Well... our location differs from time to time, since our country is always on the move and doesn't stay put in one place... but aside from that you said that our species are a talk of myths right? Does that mean to people down on the land, we are nothing more than just fictional characters?"

"Your right onee-sama! To us who lived on the surface, your species are just fictional characters made up by some people in the past"

"And who told you of our existence?"

"The church... onee-sama do you know the angels folktales"
