A standing Roman Camp

Incredible was an understatement, I couldn't really process what I was seeing, we had passed a golden door to a Valley, it looked like we were in an island. The landscape had buildings that resembled an ancient Roman architecture – concrete domed buildings – the triumphal arch and the basilica - except they all looked brand new, it was like I was in the times of Julius Caesar. Close to a stream, few people were there on canoes, freaking Canoes, who uses Canoes in this time and generation. Some were watering the garden, some shot arrow at targets, some were even flying unless I was hallucinating from the weird transportation, I needed to know what that was.

Down at the end of the porch, two men sat across each other on a blanket, they seemed to be having a picnic and playing a game.

The man facing me had an average height, he had curly white hair that almost seemed transparent, he had Aquiline nose and his eye was downturned which glowed grey. He wore a Hawaiian shirt and those kind flowers that you hang around your neck when in Hawaii. He looked up from the game and noticed us.

"Ah, Dexter, please join us" He urged my teacher.

"That's Mr. Med" Dexter ignored Mr Med. 'He is the camp director, it will be best to avoid him, he can be a little…' Dexter paused 'Deceitful, and you already know Leon….'

He pointed at the guy beside me

I first realized that he was wearing a black biker jacket, then the dark long hair and dark sunglasses, just like… "Mr. Leon" I cried

My Guardian counsellor in turn smiled and pulled off his glasses for the first time, he had dark eyes that seemed to pierce my soul.

"Ah good, Theo, now we are three to play" I looked at what they were playing, It seemed to be a Nigerian game, WHOT.

"I don't know how to play" I said as I sat down to join them. They explained the basic things about the game and I started to catch up.

"Now that youre here, I am guessing Dexter has told you everything" Mr. Leon suspended Mr. Med.

I played Rectangle three, "Apart from being told I was leaving my mum, nothing else" At that moment I thought of my mum, I told myself to forget about her, she had left me.

"Well, let me brief you" Mr. Leon said as he gave Mr. Med 'pick three'. Mr Med countered and I ended up picking six cards from the packet of cards called market, which was separated from the game.

"This camp is a place for children who are related to the supernatural things, we call the children, Half-Natural or Demi-human" He said as we played on, Mr. Med raised his hand and something appeared, it was a cherub, it gave him a diet coke and a loaf of buttered bread.

Half-Naturals are humans that have Angel's blessings on them" I put Mr. Leon on hold (in the game).

"But aren't angels Gods workers? How is it possible for them to bless us?" I asked with utmost confusion.

"You are right but also wrong" Mr. Leon placed another card, he had only two cards left, he was almost out of cards.

Mr. Med went further to explain "Angels are just like Humans, they have free will like them too, though Angels have supernatural powers, there is a reason why they have it but that's for another day"

The way Mr. Med spoke, it was as if he wasn't human.

"Yes, child I'm not human, I'm an angel who is unfortunately in punishment"

"Theo, you will learn more as we go" He said as he dropped his last card "Looks like I win" Mr. Med looked at the game and smiled, "No you've not" immediately he finished the sentence an extra card appeared on Mr. Leon's hand.

"Still Tricky as ever" Mr. Leon sighed and dropped the card.

"What do you mean punishment? Mr. Med" I asked.

"Mr Med had sworn not to try to deceive any of the archangels but he decided to play devil which eventually caught the archangel's attention and now he is to spend his time on earth as this camps director" Mr. Leon explained.

I was confused.

Mr Med excused himself and blended with the air.

"So, what do you think Leon?"

"I still think I am dreaming and will wake up anytime from now"

Mr Leon let out a chuckle, "Why don't we go there?" he pointed to the tallest building.

"But its impossible to get there" I pointed out, Mr leon didn't reply instead he hugged me, I turned to complain but I saw wings on his back.

"Hold on tight" He said and the next thing was blank
